Early History
The Shawnee Chapter, established in 1901 was the  657th Elks Lodge in the US. , 4th in Oklahoma. 
Charter members serving as officers:

The Elks members met for the first few years in the Masonic Hall of Shawnee.  The original application fee to join the Shawnee Elks Lodge was $3.00 and annual dues were $4.00

This building was owned by the Elks for 43 years.

From 1956 to 1971, after the Lodge Building (left) was sold, the Lodge rented thebasement of the American National Bank Building at the northeast corner of Main & Broadway.  The new Lodge building (above) was completed at the golf course in 1971.

130 Broadway Building
This building was sold in 1971 and has housed many  offices since that time.

This building now has offices and sandwich shop.
