The Hornbeck theatre opened in 1947 and continues today as a twin theatre,
which offers $1 seating for all shows.  The Penthouse was added in the 1970s
as a "piggyback" auditorium over the main screen.  Several celebrities have
appeared at the theatre including Gene Autry and Dale Robertson, who promoted
film openings.  The theatre is still owned by Jones Theatres, a local family company.
