Keller Feed Store History -
Three brothers, William and Antonio Keller and half brother, Fred Strube, came to Shawnee, Oklahoma Territory in 1895-1896.  William was a barber and Antonio & Fred were skilled leather workers.  In 1903 William sold his interest in the barber shop and in the fall of that year joined with Sidney Clarke to form a partnership to handle seeds and all allied lines.  The seed business prospered until August 1936 when William's sons, Frank & Reuben, purchased Mr. Clarke's interest in the business.  They renamed the business Keller Seed Store.  At this time, William S. "Bill" Keller, son of Frank took over the accounting department for the new family business. The business closed in 1978.
