Edward Hobson NICHOLS died 1900 in Shawnee. Millie Ann Brewington Nichols then married a man by the name of J.S. BALL and they moved to Shamrock, Ok. In 1917 Edward Marshall NICHOLS served in the US Navy during WWI. About 1920, Edward Marshall NICHOLS moved to Wirt, Carter County, OK with his mother, step father, and half-siblings Geraldine "Gerry" BALL and Harold "Odell" BALL. Geraldine married Manville "Monty" Montgomery. Harold "Odell" married a Gladys. Edward Marshall NICHOLS married a "Georgeann" in the early 1920's in Wirt. In 1925, Edward Marshall NICHOLS and Georgeann had a daughter named Peggy Jean/Gean NICHOLS. I am desperately trying to locate this Peggy Jean as she is my half-sister. SURNAME -  BAVOUSETT Query -  Some time ago I posted a query concerning my grandparents, Charles F. & Jennie "ARDREY" Mitchell having married in 1897 on the Sam BASSOSETTE or Stair BASOSETTE place near Tecumseh. I asked for information about the location of this place. I have since learned the name is actually Stephen BAVOUSETT. His wife, Julian Elizabeth, was my grandmother's sister. If any one knows anything of the BAVOUSETT family, probably early 1900s please get in touch. SURNAME -  BAXTER Query -   The Social Security Death Index shows a Sam Baxter  born 6/29/1929 and died 10/1984, in McLoud, Pottawatomie, Ok., 74851. I am researching a William (Will) P. Baxter who was born abt. 1861 in Arkansas. At the time of my Great Grandfather's death, 6/20/1933, it showed Will was living in Wardville, Ok. Some of the children of Will's were 1)Henrietta, 2)Mary Lidd, 3)Jennie, 4)Sam, 5)Jack, 6)Lizzie, 7) Bob, and 8)Charles. Jack Baxter was living in Telahina, Ok. in 1990.
