Keokuk Falls Two branches of my family lived in Keokuk Falls - I'm not sure exactly where Keokuk Falls was ... was it close to Trousdale? I found some information on Jim Sweatte, Federal Marshall, in burial records as well as in a book called History of Pottawattami County at the OK State Historical Soc. in the City years ago. Am looking for marriage records or any records for Peter Felix Sweatte, my grandfather, Sarah Gertrude Sweatte, his sister, and Martha Alice Whisenhunt, my grandmother, and Noah Whisenhunt, Martha's father. And I do have pictures of them in the early days. I have traced my Sayers my father's father - line and my Gooch father's mother - line back to early 1600s in England ... and the Whisenhunts back to 1216 in Switzerland but the Sweatte's have stymied me. All I really know is that they came from Georgia and I know from history books that ggfather Noah Whisenhunt was hotelier in Keokuk Falls and after losing his wife married a Mrs. Perry with children.
