SURNAME -  McALISTER Query ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm trying to find information on my grandmother's family. Her name was Lydia Potts and I believe she married my grandfather ROBERT LEE McALISTER in Pottawatomie Co. OK before 1905. Her sister Hattie Potts married Robert's brother COLUMBUS (LUM) McALISTER there as well. Both couples emigrated to California in 1908. I believe the Potts sisters were from Texas, but that's all I know about them. Any clues would be appreciated. I have reams of information on the McAlisters, but the Potts are a mystery so far. Surname: McCART Query: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John McCart was in McLoud (McCloud?) in 1897. We do not know what he did there - he went from there to Synder, Ok. where he was killed in the tornado of May 10, 1905. He and his wife, Nellie O'Brien had 4 children, Emma, 1889, James, and Charles. Any information of them in your county will certainly be appreciated. This is my husband's Grandfather and his aunt Florence was born there in 1897 on July 11, 1897. If there is a census site I could find, please inform me. According to a family Bible, my great-great grandmother Annie McCARTY died in Maude, Oklahoma on April 2, 1909. I do not know whether the town is in Pottawatomie or Seminole County. What I hope is that one of those County Seats and/or a local newspaper would have records from that time that might give me a clue about her maiden name and other vital information. I live in Portland, Oregon, so getting there is out of the question at this time. I would certainly be happy to reimburse  anyone for their time to look up the data for me. Robert E. McKee From: hhunter649@juno.com I am looking for information on Several people. 1.Robert E. McKee, he lived in Shawnee Care Center zip code 74801 in 1972 when his son Robert John McKee died. Is the Care Center still there. Robert E. was married to Lela Cookson but later divorced each other. I don't know if they had anymore children or not. 2. Beatrice McKee died at the age of 15 and is barried in the Fairview Cemetery there in Shawnee Oklahoma. I believe she was born somewhere between 1911 to 1914 maybe for 1911. I do know she is barried in the Fairview Cemetery there in Shawnee right next to her mother. 3. Harvey Gene Burrows died sometime between 1949 or 1940 he was also barried in the fariview cemetery in a unmarked grave the last time I heard, but it might be marked by now by a uncle. if anyone knows anything about the Care Center or can do a Grave look up for me I would be most Greatful. SURNAME - MCVAY Query - I am trying to find information on my great-grandmother's first husband. I found a marriage record that has him listed as M.T. or M.J. McVay from Tecumseh.
