SURNAME - MOOSE Query - ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I seek information regarding Joseph Moose and his maternal/paternal lineage. He was last known to be living in Pottawatomie County in 1901. He died about June 21, 1917. Joseph Moose may have done some freelance writing as an Indian advocate in that area. His parents were Peter and Madeline Moose both Potawatomi Indians, born in Michigan. One document states that Peter and Madeline had 12 children only 2 are known to date. [Joseph and  Josephine]. Peter Moose died in OK in 1899. Madeline [surname unknown] died in 1864. Joseph Moose had a sister named Josephine Moose [my great  great grandmother]. Josephine Moose was born in Kansas in  1848 and died in Miami OK in 1901. Josephine was married twice. 1st husband: Thomas Bourassa, died in 1875. They had 2 children that grew to adulthood: John Daniel and Peter. 2nd husband: Chief Lovely Valley, Peoria Indian, died 1894. SURNAME - MORGAN Query - ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Any information on Curtis SHELLEY SHELLY - born 20 Dec 1881 McDonald Co. MO. and married to Nora Belle LITTLE would be  appreciated. Nora Belle was born 17 Sept 1886 Clark Co. IN. I believe Curtis arrived about 1900-01. Nora Belle probably arrived earlier with her mother, Ida Belle MORGAN LITTLE and  perhaps her father, Louis Samuel LITTLE. Ida Belle later married William RAGAN we think and both may have died in Tecumseh. - . Curtis and Nora Belle were married 23 Nov 1902 in Tecumseh, OK.  Their marriage certificate states that Nora Belle was 20 but she  was actually only 16. - They had a son, Roy Lee SHELLEY who was born  1904 in Tecumseh, although we do not have a birth certificate. My g-grandmother, Ida Van NORRIS was also living with them in 1900 and is listed as a servant. Two possible relations are living next door, Mary C. MORSE b. 1854 in OH, and Ellen M.
