My name is Eddene (Hightower) Thompson of Spavinaw, Ok. My mother, Eunice
Hightower, has been collecting items out of the Vinita (Ok) Daily Journal
for years and putting them into scrapbooks which I have been indexing and
putting online. We have one on obits and one on weddings on the Craig Co,
Ok usgenweb page. I recently finished indexing one she had that was on
anniversaries of Craig county Ok persons and I found that a number of them
got married elsewhere. I decided to copy each article and send it to the
respective county where the marriage took place just in case there might
be someone who would like to know about them. I received permission for this
from Mr. John Link, General Manager of the Vinita Daily Journal. I would
appreciate it if you would add this one to your anniversaries section on
your page. If anyone is interested, have them let me know and I will email
them a copy asap.
Thank you for your cooperation. If you would like to link to the Craig county
page for the obits or weddings, feel free to do that. I haven't sent in the
anniversaries yet.
Sincerely promoting the sharing of genealogical material.
I am--Eddene Hightower Thompson of
