Seeking information on George W. and his wife Maggie (nee Crockett) ROBERTS. They are listed on the 1930 Rogers County, OK census. They are both 71 on that census. They have a grandson living with them by the name of Earl Dunn. They are living next to their son John M. Roberts.
George & Maggie Roberts were on the 1920 Tulsa Co., OK census. At that time they also had grandchildren living with them by the name of Dunn.
I would like to share information on the Roberts' line. George is my great-grandfather's brother.

Submitter: Diane O'Quinn Date 6 November 2003
We are looking for a George W Melton that lived in Claremore OK in 1944. He may be our key to figuring out our Melton mystery. I am not having any luck so hopefully someone in your area could look for him in a cemetery listing or city directory, or maybe the 1930 census. I believe that he was born in Laclede Co, MO in abt 1862/1864 or so. We know that he was in Claremore in 1944 because he was in the obit listing for our ancestor, Melissa Caroline (Melton) O'Quinn Marcum in June of 1944. If you can help me, please let me know. I sure would appreciate this. Thank-You.

OK,
this is a weird question, but, I am going to ask it anyway.
Please get a map and go south of Oolagah to east-west road 43 and then go to
north-south road 410. At this point go south nearly one mile.
Has there been an occurrence at this point that is historically significant??
Was there been anything news-worthy such a military attack, outlaws captured, a
disaster at this location??
I have driven through this area for many years and just have a "hunch"
about it.
Thanks

I have a crack in my brick wall but need more information to break through.
I am looking for the parents of my great great grandmother, Martha Jane Scott
Gibbs, Martha married Joseph Lewis Gibbs in Mattoon, Cole County Illinois and
moved their family to Rogers County in the 1880s. Their daughter
Charlotte Gibbs married William Henry Fry. Martha and Joseph had the first
hotel in Claremore, I have seen it refered to as the Pacific Hotel but have a
photo of it as the Gibbs Hotel. Martha and Josephs son James Franklin Gibbs is
my Great Grandfather, he married Lizzie Davis of Claremore. I have read that
Martha's parents died on the Oregon Trail and that she was returned to her
Paternal Grandparents, but I am unable to find any names. Any help/suggestions
are welcomed. I am very willing and anxious to share what information I have.
Thank you
Connie

Submitter: Judy Germann Date: 30 Dec 2002
I am searching for information on Martha J. Chrisman, nee Miller who is buried at Dick Duck Cemetery in Catoosa. She shares a stone with her son-in-law, Liddle Parks Bacon. She died in 1903 at her home near Catoosa. Is there any possibility of a death certificate on her? When did they begin keeping them in OK? How about newspapers - are there any available from that timeframe? I would like to find any information available on her, as I have very little. Would there be any information in the cemetery records? And who would I write to concerning them? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
