Funeral services for George Clarence BENGE, 90, of Owasso, were held Tuesday, at 2 p.m., at Octavia Baptist Church in Octavia with Rev. Ed Rodgers officiating. Burial was in Smithville Cemetery, under the direction of Mark Griffith Memorial Funeral Home-Westwood Chapel of Tulsa. He was born July 2, 1911, in Sallisaw. He died Friday, March 29, 2002, in Owasso. Mr. BENGE was preceded in death by his wife, Faye BENGE. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and her husband Frank, Wanda and her husband Steve and Lynn and her husband Gary; five sons and daughters-in-law, Sidney and his wife Pat, Ben and his wife Dagmar, Glen and his wife Barbara, Doug and his wife Rita and John and his wife Becky; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for James Lloyd "Baldy" COOPER, 68, of Mountainburg, Ark., were held Monday, at 2 p.m., at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren, Ark. Burial was in Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 11, 1934. He died Thursday, March 28, 2002, in a local hospital. Survivors include his wife Judy, of the home; three daughters, Barbara, Cindy and Caroline; one son, James Richard; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Celeste, Modell, Donna and Jenean; and one brother, Tom.

Burial is in Vaught Cemetery at Webbers Falls under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. She was born March 7, 1931, in McLain, to Glee WEBB and Flores (FULLER) WEBB. She died Monday, April 1, 2002, at St John's Hospital in Tulsa. She married Billy COPPIN Nov. 8, 1946, in Warner. Survivors include her husband, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and her husband Ed; two sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and his wife Penny, and Kendell and his wife Marla; six grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret, Fern and Pebble; and five brothers, Virgil, Leamon, Paul, Homer and Stanley. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Charlene FERGUSON.
Graveside services for Richard W. DUNN, 75, of Arkoma, were held Saturday, at 2 p.m., at Gillam Cemetery in Huntington, Ark., under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Feb. 10, 1927. He died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at his home. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley; three sisters, Alby, Edna and Betty; five brothers, Fred, Harold, John, Jimmy and Larry; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. BURNETT was born Jan. 24, 1939, in Muskogee, to Raymond CARLILE and Geneva (STORTS) CARLILE. She died Monday, April 8, 2002, in Okmulgee. Survivors include her husband, Samuel BURNETT, of the home; one daughter, Joyce; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark William and Belinda; two granddaughters; two sister, Wanda and Judy; one brother, Kenneth R.; and her mother, Geneva CARLILE. Mrs. BURNETT was preceded in death by her father, Raymond CARLILE.

Survivors include one niece, Vicki; four nephews, Dr. Bob G., Dr. Jack, Jerry, and George Robert; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and 13 great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, six sisters and one nephew.

He was born Dec. 15, 1932 in Vian to Allen Ludwell BAGLEY Sr. and Stella Naomi (VESSELL) BAGLEY. He died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, in Sallisaw. He married Annamay Bernice on July 28, 1951 in Fort Smith, Ark. She preceded him in death on Sept. 8, 1995. He married Earlene C. CHANDLER ROGERS on July 3, 2000 in Muldrow. Survivors include his wife, Earlene C. BAGLEY of the home; two daughters, Bethia and Heather; two sons, Rev. Mark Allen and Stephen Bruce; four grandchildren; seven sisters, Edith, Wilma, Naomi, Helen, Loretta, Annetta and Jeanice; one brother, Harold; one step-daughter, Janice; one step-son, Jackie; and three step-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son, Phillip Andrew BAGLEY on June 26, 1966.
Bernie W. CHEEK, a longtime Sallisaw resident, died Sunday in Tulsa. He was 82. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw with the Rev. Brian Zinck and Marvin Merrill officiating. Burial followed at Akins Cemetery north of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home. Cheek was born Nov. 8, 1919, in Sallisaw to Beautine Douglas CHEEK and Stella (PETERS) CHEEK. Bernie is survived by his wife, Masako SESOKO CHEEK; daughters, Sandra and her husband, Sinclair , and Carol Sue and her husband, Larry; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include his brother Barney and his wife, Connie; sisters Nadine, Kathleen, Jennie and her husband, Bill, and Doris and her husband, Wayne. Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, brother Garland CHEEK, grandson Douglas McGEE and step-mother Gatha CHEEK.

He died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, in Tulsa. Survivors include his mother, Loriene CHOATE; three sisters, Velma, Patsy and Redeena; two brothers, Robert and Tom; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Marvin and James Alfred CHOATE.

Survivors include two daughters, Carlene and Thelma; two sons, Howard and Ronnie; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Beulah Married Earl RIDENS on May 6, 1973, in Oklahoma City. Mrs. RIDENS was preceded in death by her first husband Forrest S. RHOADS; son and daughter-in-law Forrest Jr. and Nell RHOADES; daughter Bernice RHOADES STRONG; and son-in-law Lee Roy "Scotty" SCOTT; and brothers Joe and Paul CORTER. She is survived by husband Earl RIDENS of Sallisaw; son and daughter-in-law, Eldred and Margie; daughter Etna; sister Fern; and many other family, friends and loved ones. Services will be in Oklahoma City Monday, April 29, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Chapel of Roses at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
