Funeral services for Thomas Ray COKER Sr., 62, of Panama, were held 2 p.m., Jan. 2, 2002, at the Mallory Chapel in Spiro, with Rev. Everett Morris officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro. Mr. COKER was born July 19, 1939, in Mansfield, Ark. to Steve COKER and Pauline JACKSON. He died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Becky and her husband Danny, and Sheila; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Jason, Steven and Tommy Ray Jr. and his wife Sherry, and  j; one step-daughter, Tammy; two step-sons, Bobby and Russell; one sister, Mazie; one brother, Russell Bob; numerous grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Lemul COKER.

Funeral services for Oteka CORBELL, 69, of Lavaca, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Jan. 2, 2002, at the Assembly of God Church in Lavaca, with Rev. Grinder officiating. Burial is in Tate Cemetery Northwest of Charleston, Ark., under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Charleston. She was born May 24, 1932, in Arbuckle Island, Ark., to John DOUGLAS and Victoria McCRAE. She died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001,  in St Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark.   Survivors include two daughters, Gloria and Sheila; two sons, Buddy and Randy; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joy and Johnnie; two brothers, J.O. and Edward. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. A. "Junior" CORBELL.

Funeral services for Louise CROSSLIN, 74, of Tahlequah, are being held at 11 a.m., Jan. 2, 2002, at the Hart Funeral Chapel in Tahlequah, with Mr. David Young officiating. Burial is in Tahlequah City Cemetery, under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Mrs. CROSSLIN was born May 29, 1927, in Sallisaw, to Alvon and May (BURTON) DIFFEE. She died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, in Tulsa. She married Paul Crosslin on July 18, 1942, in Fort Smith, Ark.  Survivors include one son, Alvon and his wife Billy; one brother, Alvon; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many loved ones and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul ; one son, Randy CROSSLIN; her parents; and two brothers, Conway and Norman DIFFEE.

Funeral services for Pattie Sue FARGO DAY, 66, of Muldrow, were held at 2 p.m., Dec. 31, 2001, at Agent Chapel in Muldrow, with Revs. Edward Markham and Randy Farmer officiating. Burial was in Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. DAY was born  Mar. 21, 1935, in Eagle City, to Cicero Brookshire FARGO and Irene Zelma (EVANS) FARGO. She died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, in Muldrow. She married Immon Joe DAY on Oct. 16, 1951 in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include her husband, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jody; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Tracey and Dennis and Sharol; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Etta.

Funeral services for James Alfred PLANK, 80, of Muldrow, were held Dec. 31, 2001, at 10 a.m. at the Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church in Roland, with Revs. Marlin Douhit and Raymond Chronister officiating. Burial was in Blackjack Cemetery northwest of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. PLANK was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Braden Bottoms, to Jess PLANK and Lola (DAVIS) PLANK. He died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, in Muldrow. He married Leila Beatrice TAYLOR on Sept. 28, 1941, in Moffett. Survivors include his wife, Leila Beatrice of the home; one son, Larry; three daughters, Linda, Elaine  and Alice; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sherman "Buddy" and Lucky; and one sister, Wanda. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Truman, Lewis, Billy Joe, Bobby Jack and Leon PLANK and one son, Jerry PLANK.

Burial is in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born sept. 12, 1915, in Pisgah, Ark., to Henry Gordon HAMILTON and Mary Cora (MARTIN) HAMILTON. She died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married James Arvil SMITH in 1938 in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1991. Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Sandy and Pamela; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Margarine. She was preceded in death by twin babies at birth, Larry SMITH and Mary SMITH and one son, James Ronald "Ronnie" SMITH.

Mr. TWEEDY was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Sallisaw. He died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, in Tulsa. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Melba TWEEDY of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law,  Rebecca and Shelly and her husband Steve; three grandchildren; his father, Bill TWEEDY; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and his wife Ruth and LeRoy and his wife, Glenna; and three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lula Belle, Loyce and her husband Bob and Dorothy and her husband Tony. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella TWEEDY; two sisters, Elsie JOHNSON and Dora HALE, one brother, Wilburn TWEEDY.

WENDEL and Melva (BATMAN) WENDEL. He died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, in Sallisaw.   He married Carlene FRAZIER on Mar. 17, 1954, in Garden City, Kan. Survivors include his wife, Carlene WENDEL of the home; one daughter, Candice; one son and daughter-in-law, Travis F. and Dawn; two grandchildren; two brothers, Leroy and Charles "Butch"; one sister, Alice Marie; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends and wonderful neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather J.C. CHANDLER.

Burial was in New Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born Jan. 16, 1914, in Sallisaw, to Virgil LILLARD and Sina RENFRO. She died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, in Salina. Survivors include two sons, G.C. and Lester; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five nephews and two nieces.

Mr. GARWICK was born, April 5, 1958, in Rockford, Ill. to Warren and Mary Elizabeth GARWICK. He died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, in his home. Burial was in Okmulgee Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. HEDGECOCK was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Okmulgee, to George Calvin PURVINE and Ida Mae (JERNIGAN) PURVINE. She died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. HEDGECOCK married James Leon "Dude" HEDGECOCK in Feb. 1946, in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1981. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Willa and Donald and Margaret; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dixie; and one brother, Joseph.

Mrs. BREEDLOVE  was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Sallisaw, to Joe WELCH and Ethel (LACKEY) WELCH. She died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Dr. James Walton BREEDLOVE on May 20, 1946. He preceded her in death on Mar. 27, 1994. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and her husband, Dr. Bill  and Linda and her husband Dr. Mike; five grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ruth; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and his wife, Nell and Joe and his wife Lorelei.

Graveside services for Robert "Bob" GLENN, 81, of Sallisaw, were held Jan. 9, 2002, at 3 p.m. at the Sallisaw City Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Bias officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Sequoyah County, to Robert GLENN SR. and Eula (BURNS) GLENN. He died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002. He married Gwendolyn June FAIR on Jan. 11, 1958. Survivors include his wife Gwendolyn of the home; one son, Johnny D.; one grandson; two sisters, Mildred and Bonnie.

Johnnie Lee LESSLEY, 67, of Tulsa, was born Mar. 8, 1934, in Blackburn, to Ural and Allie LESSLEY. He died Thursday,  Jan. 3, 2002, in Washougal, Wash. Survivors include six sisters, Bea, Esther, Joyce, Nola, Flora and Jeanette; one brother, Ural. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary COLE and his wife, JoAnn LESSLEY. 

Funeral services for Athene BRIGANCE SOWELL, 90, of Nesbit, Miss., were held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2002, at Forest Hill South Chapel in Memphis, Tenn. She died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Jesse James CRAGHEAD on July 15, 1929, in Vian, He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1986. Survivors include three daughters, Lillan, Ona, and Gladys; three sons, Leo and Don and Leonard; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one uncle, Andrew. She was preceded in death by four brothers; and one son, Floyd CRAGHEAD.

Burial was in White Cemetery in Gore, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. He was born April 21, 1921, in Webbers Falls to Jack and Fannie (BREEDLOVE) BLACKWOOD. He died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, at Gore. Survivors include one son, Don and his wife Carol; one daughter, Sandra Kay; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glin  and Eugene; three sisters, Addie, Geneva and Barbara Sue. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dosha BLACKWOOD, three brothers, Earl, Hearl and Garmon; two sisters, Virginia GRAHAM and Margaret BLACKWOOD; and his parents.

Graveside services for Harold L. 'Junior' HONEYCUTT, 71, of Purdy, Mo., formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m., Jan. 22, 2002, at the Marble City Cemetery, with Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born Mar. 2, 1930, in Marble City, to Louie HONEYCUTT and Ruby (PERRY) HONEYCUTT. He died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, in Cassville, Mo. Survivors include four sons, Lonnie, John, Allen and Joe; two daughters, Trenna and Dana; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Bob Maxwell officiating, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born Sept. 12, 1907, in Long, Indian Territory, to Tom REED and Lou (HARRIS) REED. She died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include one daughter, Betty Jo; one son, Kenneth; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and one brother, James "Buck". She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charley; and several brothers and sisters.

She was born Nov. 27, 1945, in Sentinel, to Leander "Bill" MABRY and Dorothy Grace (HALL) MABRY.  She died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Charles Edward BARRETT on March 31, 1961, in Hydro. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1992. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; one son, Craig; one granddaughter; two grandsons; her father, Billy MABRY; and three sisters, Delpha, Claudia and Margaret.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Marilynn Leigh BURTON of the home; five daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and her husband Douglas, Betsy and her husband Randy, Barbara Leigh and her husband Gary, Dana and her husband Dave; a son, Cliff and his wife Maryann;13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Ronald Thomas "Ronnie" MORGAN, 47, of Sallisaw, will be held at 1 p.m., Jan. 26, 2002, at the Central High School Gymnasium, east of Sallisaw, with Joe Slater officiating. Burial will be in Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born June 24, 1954, in Harriman, Tenn., to George T. MORGAN Jr. and Winnie (WILLHITE) MORGAN. He died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, near Mountainburg, Ark. He married Janet FRANCIS on March 2, 1974, in Muskogee. Survivors include his wife Janet MORGAN of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Petty Officer 1st Class, USN Travis Glenn and Tana; one granddaughter; his parents, George and Winnie MORGAN; one sister, Pamela; and other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Emma Lillian HAGEMANN, 80, of Webbers Falls, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Feb. 4, 2002, at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born Nov. 26, 1921, in Modoc, Calif., to Lemuel Morris HARTER and Emma Marie (GALLEGER) HARTER. She died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, in Warner. She married Adolf Paul HAGERMANN on Oct. 12, 1966, in Carson City, Nev. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2000. Barbara Joann MAPLE, 69, of Sallisaw, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, in Gore. She was born May 12, 1932, in Lawrence, Kan. to Dewey MANNESS and Vera (HOLDERMAN) MANNESS. She married Robert MAPLE on Aug. 13, 1950 in Kansas. Survivors include her husband, Robert of the home; two sons, Gary Robert and James Eldon; two granddaughters;  direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore. He was born Mar. 6, 1981, in Oklahoma City, to Jay RUTLAND and Diane (SCHWARTZ) RUTLAND. He died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, in Muskogee. Survivors include one daughter, Mariah Erin; his parents, Jay and Diane RUTLAND; one brother, Jim; one sister, Kristi; his maternal grandparents, Ted and Joan; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends, including his companion, April; He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Jonathan RUTLAND in 1972.
