- William Harvey went to
school in Cullahaw, NC and then attended Duke
University (called something different back
then). He became a teacher and was Lulas
teacher at the Indian School. He was mild
mannered and quiet but once when a teacher hit
his daughter Rosie Corrine, he knocked the
teacher to the floor. He became a Deputy
Marshall sometime during the late 1800s.
He was in a gunfight in Cookson Hills (Gore,
Oklahoma) with Belle Starr. There are books
about her and William Brysons name is
mentioned. Supposedly he captured Belle and
took her to Fort Smith, Arkansas to Judge Parter,
the hanging judge.
