Mary Duffe
OK State President

The Oklahoma Society U.S.D. 1812 was organized on March 4, 1914.

Organizing President was Mrs. George B. Wine.

The Society was disbanded in 1921 during the administration of Mrs. C.H. Baker.

The Oklahoma Society was reorganized in 1924 by Mrs. Frank N. Korn.

Since that year, Oklahoma continues to grow in service to the National Society.

There are six chapters in Oklahoma at this time

The Oklahoma Society currently boasts having an Honorary President National in Mrs. Donald C. Trolinger,

a sitting officer in Mrs. Udell S. Quinn, First Vice President National,

and a sitting Chairman National in Mrs. Clyde W. Spence for the National Defense Committee.

State Council is held the last weekend in February with a rotation of hostess duties in locations around the state.

The State Projects of State President Mrs. Clark W. Duffe are the Restoration

of National Properties and the Support of Genealogical Libraries.

Oklahoma is not a state with a long history and our organization is small.

To aid in growth of our membership and better understanding of the War of 1812,

chapters were asked to place as many volumes as able on the War of 1812

and particularly those materials that will aid members in documentation of their application papers.
