Welcome to the Wagoner County, OKGenWeb Project! My name is Clarissa Loyd and I am the Wagoner County Coordinator. Please check out the extensive research tools in the site menu. BEAUCHAMP -- Charlene (Griffey), age 76,
of Wagoner, entered eternal life Friday, March 10, 2007, from her home
in Wagoner. Charlene was born June 27, 1930 in Grove, OK, the precious
baby daughter of Jesse Franklin and Anna Caudill Griffey.She graduated from Grove High School, and then completed the courses at Draughons School of Business. Charlene was employed at Griffins Grocery Store as a Secretary and there she met a handsome young truck driver, Tommy Beauchamp. The 2 were latter married on February 18, 1950 at Wheeling Avenue Christian Church in Tulsa. To this union 2 daughters were born, Jo Anna and Joyce Ellen.
Charlene was a member of the Garden Club, R.O.S.E.S. and C.W.F. She enjoyed traveling and toured Europe from north to south. Fishing trips to the Gulf Coast with the grandsons were especially enjoyed. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Wagoner and Elder Emeritus.
Charlene is survived by: her daughter, Jo Anna Hagan of Tulsa; grandsons, Tom and Eric; and great-grandchildren, Brittany Ann Breanna, Ricky and Jeremy; neice, Kathy Hooten; nephews, Steve and Jamie Kozak. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; sister, Imogene Kozak; and daughter, Joyce Ellen Beauchamp.
Family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, at the funeral home. Service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at First Christian Church of Wagoner, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Wagoner.
