2011 and 2012 QueriesThis page contains 2011 and 2012 queries only. When you write your query, please be brief (maximum about 50 words), and include your mailing address and/or your e-mail address. State whether you want your query published in our newsletter and/or on our website. Queries published on our website will list only your e-mail address, unless you specifically request that your mailing address be listed as well. For best results, limit your query to one individual or family unit. Compose your question carefully; determine first exactly which piece of information you are seeking. Avoid abbreviations in names and descriptions. Commonly used nicknames should be underlined or in brackets. Mention a time period, geographical places, maiden names, relationships and multiple marriages. Format of Standard Query SURNAME capitalized. About 50 words of text, with only the SURNAMEs
capitalized. Place names are all in small letters. Don't forget to ask a question.

of the person making the enquiry. ResearchIf you wish the Bruce County Genealogical Society to do research for you, please complete a Request for Research Form, and mail it and the research fee to the BCGS. 2012 QueriesFITZELL (or alt. spellings) - Gideon (b. 1816) and his wife Ann (b. 1820) were born in Ireland and moved to Bruce Co. in 1861. They are listed in the 1881 census (as FIEZELL) in Culross but don't appear in the 1891 census. Does anyone know details of their death and burial? I recently found his wife's obituary (Eliza Crowson Broxholm) that lists his death as March 1880 in Kincardine. He was a Wesleyan Methodist. Is it possible to obtain his death and burial information? 2011 QueriesMacDOUGALL Has anyone done, or know someone who has done, a family history of the MacDougall line that includes Murdoch and Mary MacDougall or Allen and Flora MacDougall of Greenock / Elderslie around 1870? I am interested in information regarding their family. How many children, who are they? Barbara deceased in 1960, she and John Henry are buried in Tara cemetery as is one son. October 16, 2011 FISHER Looking for ancestors of my great grandfather Donald (Daniel) Fisher, married to Elizabeth McLaurin. Their son (my grandfather) was born in the County of Bruce on Apr 1, 1899. His name was Hartley Fisher. I want to know who Hartley's grandparents were and where they came from. I do have info on the McLaurin side but still looking for the Fishers. If any one can help me that would be much appreciated. My grandfather was the late Edward Stewart Schmidt who later on changed his last name to Smith along with a couple other brothers.
