Time period: 1840-1998
Looking for names of parents and siblings of WILLIAM JAMES ARMSTRONG, b. May 13, 1858, Simcoe County, Ontario. I have no idea what township. He had a brother named SAMUEL. William went to Michigan in 1889 to work as a masonist and carpenter. He and Samuel came back to Canada in 1892 and headed west to Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, and then to Boissevain, Manitoba. In December 1895, William married CHARLOTTE MCCUTCHEON (b.Aprl 16, 1876, in Dufferin County, Ontario) from Gainsborough. They had 4 children. Willliam is my paternal gr-grandfather. I have no idea what happened to Samuel. I would like to find out William's parents and siblings in order to trace back the family to Ireland where they supposedly came from . If anyone has any information on this family, an names or even living relatives still in the area, please email me and let me know. I would like to talk to anyone still living there.
