Any information on Orange Lawrence
and his family. Orange was born in Canaan, CT and moved to New York State when
he was an infant. His father William Solomon Lawrence was killed in an accident
there. His mother remarried to an Able Stafford and presumably moved to Canada.
Orange's older sister Rebbecca married David Hammond and lived in Toronto Twp,
buried in Spring Creek Cemetery, Clarkson (Mississauga) ON. Orange bought a farm
in Trafalgar Twp in 1823 which stayed in the Lawrence family until 1977. Orange
moved to Orangeville about 1844. I am willing to exchange any information that
I have of the more than 9000 Lawrence's and conncetions in my files with you.

MARSHALL
Time period: 1845- ?
Ancestor Robert Charles Marshall,
born Ireland 8 Jul 1843, came to Canada with parents at abt 2 yrs of age. ON 16
Oct 1864 (might be 1862) married Mary Ann RISEBROUGH of Markham Township, York
co born 29 Sept 1844. Settled in Oxford County before 1873, probably in 1860's.
Raised large family (16 children). Mary Ann died 1912, Robert Chrles in 1917.
Robert Charles obituary and death registration indicate only "born Ireland", no
parents named. Mary Ann's death registration shows "born Canada" and names parents
as Robert Risebrough, born England, and Mary H*****k, born York County. Her obituary
states she was born in the county of Markham and was married to Marshall of Orangeville.
NOTE: this is the only indication we have of where his family may have been in
Canada before he came to Oxford county. We are seeking any and all leads as to
family of Robert Charles MARSHALL and Mary Ann RISEBROUGH.
