Native of Euphrasia Had Been
In West Many Years
MEAFORD, Dec. 7, 1934 -- Mr. Harvey Anderson of Meaford, who a few months ago moved to this town from the West, received the sad news of the death of his father, John Anderson, at Victoria, B.C. The late Mr. Anderson was 84 years of age and has been residing out West for nearly 15 years. He was born in Euphrasia township and knew this district quite well. In the year 1905 he moved with his family to Strongfield, Sask., and there farmed for many years. He retired and went to Victoria about 1920. Mrs. Anderson predeceased her husband in 1926. The late Mr. Anderson was a member and Deacon of Alliance church. There are two sons surviving: J. Harvey, of Meaford, and Ernest N., of Strongfield, Sask., and two daughters, Mrs. W. Drummond and Mrs. G. Michie of Victoria, B.C. The funeral was held to Royal Oak Burial Park.
