MRS D.J. CLARK
PASSES FRIDAY
An esteemed resident of Owen Sound for the past 23 years, Mrs. Duncan John Clark, 615 8th Street East, passed away Friday evening at her home. She had been ill only a short time and her death comes with great sorrow in the family circle and among her neighbours and friends on the east hill. She was in her 84th year.
The late Mrs. Clark was born at Waterdown, near Hamilton. Her maiden name was Maria Redford. Her marriage to Duncan John Clark was solemnized at Mulock over 55 years ago and if she had lived until Christmas they would have marked their 56th anniversary. After their marriage they farmed in Bentinck Township for many years, retiring to Owen Sound to make their home 23 years ago. In this city Mrs. Clark identified herself with St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church as a member and made many new friends.
Besides the bereaved husband, two children, Miss Margaret and John, both at home, and two sisters, Jane, Mrs. William Turnbull of Dryden and Margaret, Mrs. Malcolm McConnell of Durham, mourn.
