Malcolm MacCallum
Passes in Durham
DURHAM -- A well-known and respected citizen of Durham for over 40 years, Malcolm MacCallum died in Durham Memorial Hospital on Saturday. Mr. MacCallum had been a patient for a week, suffering from a heart condition. He was 80 years of age.
   Born in Mulock district in Bentinck township, Mr. MacCallum was the son of the late John MacCallum and Ann Morrison MacCallum. He was married in 1902 to the former Margaret Redford, of Bentinck, who survives. Two daughters also survive, Gertrude, Mrs. Morel MacIntyre of Toronto, and Florence, Mrs. E Gibson of Pinkerton. Two daughters, Annie and Sarah died over 20 years ago.
   Since going to Durham to live, Mr. MacCallum was engaged in carpentry work and was a member of Durham Baptist Church.
