WILLIAM JOHN McRAE
WELL KNOWN
FARMER DIES
MEAFORD EXPRESS (1956) -- William John McRae, 84, for six years a valued member of St. Vincent Township Council and well known local farmer until his retirement some 10 years ago, died after an extended illness in his home on Boucher Street, Saturday, September 22.
   Mr. McRae, who was a lover of sport, having a keen interest in hockey, was born at Presque Isle. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Duncan McRae, natives of Scotland. This spring he and his wife, nee Margaret Elizabeth McGeoch, celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at which time friends and relatives from far and near assembled to wish them good health.
