125 Proctor
I would like to correspond with anyone familiar with the history and genealogy of the Proctor family in Grey County. What I know is sketchy at this point: My great great grandfather was William Proctor. He was survived by his wife Mary Webb who passed away on 27 April 1930 in her 85th year. The funeral service was held at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. Richard Solomon, on Gershom St., Meaford, Ontario, on Tuesday the 29th and at the Thornbury Baptist Church. Internment at Union Cemetery, Thornbury, Ontario. Their children included my great grandfather Edward Thomas Proctor (a.k.a. Thomas Edward) who may have been born on 21 Oct. 1868 in Kimberly, Ontario (Township of Euphrasia, Grey County). According to the 1901 census his birth date was 11 Oct. 1869. The Ontario Archives Marriage Register (MS 932, Reel 80, Registration # 010969) says he was 24 on the date of his marriage to Agnes McKillican on 21 Feb. 1893 in Alliston, Ontario. His siblings may include four brothers (Jonas, Louis, Bill of Alberta and George of Georgetown) and two sisters (Mrs. Richard Solomon and Mrs. John Randle). Both Edward and Jonas or Joe moved to northern Ontario and are buried in the Webbwood Ontario area.     Posted on Fri Jan 2 09:45:24 2004

Also mentioned in the book that they built a log cabin which still stands on this property. Would you know of any pictures that I could obtain of this log cabin to add to my Turnbull Family Book.
