GOALS & OBJECTIVES

of the

 Haliburton Highlands Genealogy Group

HHGG is endeavouring to:

·       Gather and preserve information, articles, books, manuscripts and maps relevant to genealogical studies, and, to make them available to our members.

·       Collect family histories, facts and stories of early pioneers of Haliburton County.

·       Discuss personal research progress, problems and hurdles with our members.

·       Assist and guide our members in their research to the best of our ability.

·       Encourage interest and membership in HHGG through local events.

·       Socialize with persons who have a common interest in genealogy.

·       Participate and encourage interest in other genealogical and historical events.

·       Publish a magazine as a means of communication with our non-local members.

·       Try to make every HHGG meeting a fun-filled and informative gathering.

·       Collect genealogical data for printed publication and for presentation in a searchable database.
