searching information on Dr.Charles Mackay late of Goderich St. west. Practiced medicine in Seaforth one of the largest practices in district. Dr. Mackay was born in McKillop Township. His father Rev. George Mackay was from Formosa.Some how I am relatd to this family. Dr. Mackay had a sister, Mrs.L Kennedy. My grandmothers maiden name was Nora Claire Kennedy. I have photos of the Mackay family as far back as the 1800's in Formosa.

Looking for info on Thomas Leslie, born c 1800 in Ireland. He was married to Letitia Park. Their known children were William James (Annie Young), John (Susan McLeod), and Abigail (John Blackwell). I am looking for more information on my husband's great-grandfather, his birth certifi ate (delayed registration), states that he was born in Brussels, ON. John Anderson Wilson born: May 11, 1859 in Odessa, ON died: November 22, 1924 in Innisfail, ABHe married Mary Ann PETERS about 1882. Their first son, Frank Russell WILSON (grandfath r), was born July 13, 1883 in Pembina, ND. In 1890 they moved to Innisfail, AB, where they spent the rest of their lives.John also had a sister named Emma WILSON, birthdate unknown. She married John CARPENTER.We know nothing about John's parents except hey were Scots. If you have any information on this family we would very much like to hear from you. This an addition to the request for information about attendees at the Murray reunion in 1949. Also attending the reunion were Rev.Rodericak Murray and his wife Margaret Murray Murray. Margaret and Roderick were not related. She was born in Varna, and e was born in Goderich in 1871. They had three children: William, who became an orthodontist in Evanston, Illinois; Renee Francis (Mrs. Homer B. HAR IS) who was born in Minnesota and later moved to Lincoln, Illinois; Donald LeRoy MURRAY who became a jazz musician and is now recognized as one of the most gifted musicians of the Twenties. MargaretMurray , along with her mother and sisters attended a resbyterian Church known then as The Brick Presbyterian Church". Following the death ofher husband, Angus MURRAY, Francis KNIGHT MURRAY married William RATHWELL , and the family then attended the Methodist church in Varna. We would greatly appreciate a y information about these individuals who, for many years lived in Huron County and hd many relatives and friends there.

Looking for ancestors and descendants of Angus and Francis Knight Murray of Varna, Huron Co. Ont. who attended a Murray reunion at Jewell's Grove, 03July 1949 in Bayfield. Attendees came from Detroit,Flint and Dowagiac Mich;Exeter,Goderich,Bayfield,Varna Seaforth and other parts of Ontario. Children of Angus and Francis KNIGHT MURRAY were: Jane (SAUNDERS),Annie, Angus,Mary, Margaret and William(deceased) Children of Jane MURRAY SAUNDERS who attended were Robert, Leonard, and Frank. Charles was not there Frank's children were Rene and Bettie;Mary Ann MURRAY (wife of ANGUS) was 86 at that time.Her children were Getie and her daughter from London,Ont. and Garnet and his family. Cecil MURRAY of Exeter was there with daughter Rene. My gggGrandfather William McDowell came from Nova Sc tia with his wifePoebe and farmed near Westfield. They had 11 children. Poebe died in 1865and William was remaried in the 1870's to Mary Turner. They had two sonstogether. It was thought that William died possible in the Blyth area after1881. Would anyone know any details on this William McDowell.
