Hello Ross researchers!
I would like to correspond with someone doing research on the Neil Ross family. His is one branch of the Ross family of Nova Scotia that I have been researching (my husband's maternal family).
Neil Ross was one of the first pioneers in the township of Tuckersmith. He was born in Scotland in 1807, and emigrated to Pictou county with his parents about 1814/5, and removed to Ontario about 1830. He lived on the London road, Tuckersmith, near Br
cefield, and lived to the old age of 92, dying 22 Dec. 1898. He had a family of eleven, and at the time of his death, his son Alexander was residing on the old homestead, and another son, Dr Hugh Ross, was practising in Clifford. Neil belonged to the Bru
efield Presbyterian church, and is buried in Baird's Cemetery.
