My granduncle, Henry William Chamberlain, left London, England, late 1890s, early 1900s for Canada. He lived on R.R.1 Bluevale, Huron County, Ontario, in 1916 and farmed there. During that year he joined the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force, remaining there for a year when he was discharged. He was married to Alberta. I have tried t trace his arrival into Canada, but have been unsuccessful. If someone can help me find out whether he had children and cemetery records, I would most appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Seeking information on the Crooks family. Robert Crooks and Jane Turnbull were married in Lilliesleaf, Roxb., Scot. on March 10, 1832. They emigrated to Canada circa 1842, probably through Ireland. Their children included George, Nancy, Robert, Isabelle, Jessie, James, Elizabeth, Jane, Robert (ag in, because apparently his older brother died in 1852) Joan. In their travels to the Brussels area, they moved through the towns of Ayr and Paris in Waterloo and Brant, and Harperhay (spelling?) about 1854 - 58. George, the oldest son (born Feb. 25, 1835; probably Ireland. Died Jan. 18, 1925, Morris Twp) took over the family farm. He married a Harriet Armstrong. Their children - Clarissa, Albert, Sarah, Alice, Henry, Jessie, George, Harriet, Joan (?). My specific interest (beyond the entire family!!) is in the second Robert, born in 1854. He married Margaret Douglas in 1879. Several children. She died in about 1900 in the Ary area. He moved out west to Saskatchewan and eventually homesteaded in the Laf eche area anbout 1910. He died there in 1944. Any information appreciated. More info from my end available. Lloyd Crooks Winnipeg, MB
