Haggai Shuart

Haggai Shuart was born 08 Aug 1838 in Canboro Haldimand County to Hiram Shuart and Alice Catherine Skinner. Haggai married Clarissa S. Robbins daughter of William Lester Robbins and Mary (Polly) Brown. Haggai and Clarissa had 10 children. By 1871 he was in Hay Township Huron County.

Haggai Shuart (age 33) and family are found in the 1881 Census Place: Hay, Huron South, Ontario, Canada. Haggai and family ended up in Elkton, Huron Co., Michigan. Some of Haggai's brothers and sisters lived in Huron County.

James Alfred Shuart

James Shuart was the son of Hiram Shuart and Alice Catherine Skinner. James Alfred Shuart leased the East half of the East half of Lot 15, Concession 7 Hay Tp Huron Co. in 1867. He is also in the 1871 Census for Hay Township but by 1881 was in Lambton County. James married Seely (Sarah Robbins?) and had 8 children
