Welcome
The Kawartha Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS)
was formed in 1975. We are a group dedicated to supporting genealogical
research in the Counties of - The City of Kawartha Lakes (formerly known as
Victoria), Haliburton, Northumberland and Peterborough through our library,
regular meetings, beginners courses, and publications. We extend a warm
welcome to all those seeking out their family roots, in our local Counties
and elsewhere! |

of research, orientation tour and research assistance. Leaving Coach
Canada Peterborough 8 AM. Stopping at 115/35 car park and Oshawa Swiss
Chalet 401/Stevenson Rd for additional pick ups. Returning to Peterborough

Region VII Annual Meeting Day to be hosted by Kawartha Branch.
Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Northminster United Church, Peterborough.
Registration begins at 9:00 am. Meeting commences at 9:30 with a pot luck
lunch around noon followed by our afternoon Guest Speaker, Norman
Vandenberg. Mr Vandenberg has been a History teacher at Norwood District
High School for the last 25 years. Topic: The origin and evolution of the
Civil War Re-enactment that is staged each year by the Norwood District
High School students.
