Court Records of Kent CountyCourt records in Ontario date from 1789. Many records are avialable on microfilm at the Archives of Ontario. A court of Probate for all of Upper Canada was established in 1793 and surrogate courts for the four existing districts were also created. In 1858 the Probate court and District Surrogate court were abolished.
