Vital Statistics Records of Kent County Vital Statistics were not mandatory in Ontario until 1869. The full registrations (including indexes) are avialable from the Archives of Ontario. You can order these films on ILL (InterLibrary Loan) or a FHC (Family History Centre). The Index to Vital Stats microfilm reel Numbers are online, and using the Ontario Archives step by step instructions you can easily order in the correct reels to view the full certificate of B, M or D You can also view these birth, death and marriage records online for a fee (not associated with the GenWeb site). Look for "Vital Statistics News!" Before 1869 you must use church records or newspaper notices to find your ancestor's birth, marriage or death record.
