McLeod, a resident of the Wikwemikong Nursing Home died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at the age of 75 years. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta, son of the late Reverend Norman and Nancy Beatrice (Farewell) McLeod. Norman is a veteran of World War II, serving in the Infantry and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Norman worked at the Experimental Farm in Ottawa, then moved to Sudbury and relocated to Manitowaning, operating John's Drive-in Restaurant for a few years. Norm enjoyed classical music, collecting model cars and tinkering with electronics and small appliances. Dear friend of June Newman of Manitowaning. Norman will be sadly missed by his children Grant and wife Connie of Chiliwack, B.C. and Nancy and husband Kevin of Canmore, Alberta, and sister Meriam Belway of Sudbury. Dear grandfather of Lisa, Ryan, Daniel, Gabriel, Kelly Ann, Graham and also survived by nieces and nephews. At Norman's request, there will be no visitation.
