HARASYM--In loving memory of a dear father and grandfather, Morris, who left us May 8, 2005.
He fought so hard to stay with us
He knew we'd miss him so
But God knew he was hurting
And said, "It's time to go."
He suffered long without complaint
Oh yes, he paid his dues
He never once said "pity me"
Just smiled and saw it through.
His pain has stopped, the hurting done,
How we miss his dear sweet face.
God took his hand and led him home
He's in a better place.
One year ago he left us
With fond memories ever more
We all know he will be waiting
On the other shore.
Lovingly remembered by your son Jim, daughter-in-law Marilyn and grandchildren Marilee, Mallory and Mitchell.
Manitoulin Expositor, May 3, 2006

HARASYM--In memory of Morris Harasym (Husband, Father, Grampa and Great Grampa) May 8, 2005.
We can't believe
A year has passed
Although you are gone
All the precious memories
You gave us
Will live on.
Gone from our home
But not from our hearts
You are always
In our thoughts.
Remembered and missed by all your loved ones.
Manitoulin Expositor, May 10, 2006

HARASYM-In loving memory of Morris, dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who left us on May 8, 2005.
Each year that goes by
We miss you more.
We still expect you
To walk in the door.
When we are all together
And you're not here,
It's so hard not to shed a tear.
God willing, we will meet again.
We will love and miss you until then.
Your Marilyn and family.
Manitoulin Expositor, May 9, 2007

HARASYM-In loving memory of a dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Morris, who left us May 8, 2005.
God saw you were getting tired
When a cure was not to be.
So He closed His arms around you
And whispered, "Come to Me.
"Your golden heart stopped beating,
Your gentle hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
In tears, we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away.
Our hearts were almost broken,
You fought so hard to stay.
What you suffered, you told few
You didn't deserve what you went through.
Tired and helpless, you made no fuss,
And tried so hard to stay with us.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peaceful, free from pain,
We could not wish you back to suffer again.
Lovingly remembered by your son Jim, daughter-in-law Marilyn, grandchildren Marilee, Mallory and Mitchell and great-grandson Landen.

He is gone but not forgotten
And, as dawns another year,

HARE--A tribute to my mom, Ida Hare, March 2, 1918 - August 24, 2007.
It's been a year now since God and His angels called you away.
If Roses Grow in Heaven
If roses grow in Heaven Lord
Please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother's arms
And tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love and miss her,
And when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy.
I do it everyday,
But there is an ache within my heart
That will never go away.
With love, Doris Manitowabi

HARE--Christmas Memoriam - A special tribute for dad Patrick (Paddy) Hare, who died November 1, 2006.
Christmas in Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights like heaven's stars reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away that tear,
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir here.
I have no words to tell you of the joy their voices bring
For it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart,
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place
Can you just imagine Christmas with our Saviour face to face?
I'll ask him to lift your spirit as I tell him of your love
So then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above.
Please let your hearts be joyful and let your spirit sing
For I am spending Christmas in heaven and I'm walking with the King.
Sadly missed by Doris, Danny and family.

Celebrating a Life
December 1, 1917 – November 1, 2006
In loving memory of
Paddy Hare
November 1, 2007
Forever in our Hearts
A million times we needed you,
A million times we cried,
If love alone would have saved you,
You would have never died.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still,
In our hearts you hold a place,
No one can ever fill.
A light from our household is gone,
A voice from our love is stilled.
A place in our vacant home,
Which never can be filled.
Some may think you are forgotten,
Though on earth you are no more,
But in our memory you are with us,
As you always were before.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
A part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
Your precious memories are for keepsakes,
With which we never part,
God has you safely in His keeping,
But we have you forever in our hearts.
Sadly missed by Doris, Danny & family
And by Kali, Emily & Ethan

HARFIELD--In loving memory of our dear mother, Jean, who passed away June 25, 2000.
Loving and kind in all her ways,
Upright and just to the end of her days,
So sincere in heart and mind,
What a beautiful memory she left behind.
A faithful mother is more than a memory,
A faithful mother lives with us forever.
--Always in our hearts, the Harfield family.

HARFIELD, Jean--Our loving thoughts and memories of our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, Jean Harfield, who we have greatly missed since June 25, 2000.
When you thought we weren't looking, we saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and we learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
When you thought we weren't looking, we saw you make our favourite dessert for us, and we learned that the little things can be the special things in life.
When you thought we weren't looking, we saw you take care of our home and everyone in it and we learned to take care of what we are given.
When you thought we weren't looking, we heard you say a prayer, and we knew there was a God we could always talk to and we learned to trust in God.
When you thought we weren't looking, we saw how you handled your many responsibilities, even when you didn't feel well and we learned that we would have to be responsible in life.
When you thought we weren't looking, we saw tears come from your eyes and we learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought we weren't looking, we looked at you and wanted to say, "Thanks for all the things we saw when you thought we weren't looking."
Forever loved and remembered, by her family.

Mother
You cared for us when we were ill
You always made us smile
You always had a cheerful word
That made our day worthwhile.
You are never very far away
We hold each memory near
Wherever we may go in life
We will always love you Mother dear.
Manitoulin Expositor, June 20, 2007

HARFIELD--In loving memory of Jean Harfield, a wonderful mother and grandmother who has been greatly missed for the past 8 years.
We sit and ponder how very much
We'd like to talk with you today.
There are so many things
That we didn't get to say.
We know how much you cared for us
And how much we cared for you.
And each time that we think of you
We know you miss us too.
An angel came and took you by the hand,
Your place was ready in heaven, far above
And you left behind all those you love.
You had so many to live for, you had so much to do.
It still seems impossible that God was taking you.
And though you've walked through heaven's gate
We are never far apart.
For every time we think of you
You're right here, deep within our hearts.
Forever loved and remembered by her family.
Manitoulin Expositor, June 25, 2008

HARFIELD--In memory of Jean Harfield who crossed the river June 25, 2000.
This quote was placed on her hairdressing mirror to share:
"At times, God must get lonely for one who stays away so long,
so he places on that shoulder a burden much too heavy for him to bear,
so that he must come to Him in prayer to share.
At times, God must allow hurt to help us."
Lovingly, Jean's Family

Mother, we could never have asked for a better Guide through our life journey,
Than a mother filled with the kind of love we saw in you.

HARVEY--In loving memory of Steven Barry Harvey who passed away on September 24, 1993.
You are the sunset that waxes and wanes to end another slow day,
You are the night bird that sings mournfully into the dark night,
You are the flower that waves unseen in the cool night breeze,
But then again....
You are the warm rain that washes away my sad and lonely tears,
But most of all....
You are the sunrise and the warm glow from that sun,
That soothes my grieving heart and soul.
--Lovingly remembered and never forgotten by your mom, Emily.
Manitoulin Expositor, October 10, 2001

HAYDEN--In memory of Eva Elizabeth Hayden, November 24, 2005.
God's Lady Slipper
When the lady slipper blooms with delight,
God did not promise that things would be right.
For you have left without saying goodbye
And I can do nothing but cry.
Yes, it's been yet a year since that terrible sight
And I hope now that things will be right.
For you were my grandma and you still are,
So I will still make my wishes upon your bright star.
Written by Krystan Hayden, age 9.

HAYDEN-- Written in loving memory of Grandma Eva Hayden by her granddaughter Sarah Wheale.
It has been three long years since I last saw your face,
But every day since then your footprints I’ve traced.
There is a little part of you in everything that I see
A few small things that have become a huge part of me.
Spotting the very first Robin of the Spring.
The smell of Mustard, and the Sin of Tickling.
The sweet minty taste of orange Tic Tacs.
And those tiny ceramic Red-Rose tea knick knacks.
Finding a Ladies Slipper that is never to be picked.
An old broken clock for Uncle Charlie to fix.
Watching a Blue Jay on the cold winter’s snow.
Christmas decorations with that special glow.
Shuffling my feet through the leaves in the Fall,
A newborn baby so beautiful and small.
The colour blue, the most truest of blues.
My love for things such as jewellery and shoes.
The patience of waiting for my husband in the truck.
Rolling straight sixes in Yahtzee, what luck!
Thousands of tiny icicles on a Christmas tree,
Opening up new pyjamas on Christmas Eve.
The importance of history and stories to be told
Passing down memories and anything old.
Hockey games, holidays, birthdays, and weddings
As the years pass by I am always remembering.
It was the simple things in life that meant so much to you,
And it is those same simple
things that will forever remind me of you.
Loved always and forever. Missed by Grandpa Bill, Evyonne, Mike, Amy, Devin, Sarah and Corey, Lee, Darlene, Adam and Adrienne, Roger, Natalie, Krysten, Alex, and Lily.
Manitoulin Expositor, November 19, 2008

HAYDEN--In loving memory of Maurice (Reece) Hayden a very dear Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather, who passed away peacefully from this life to his heavenly home on March 27, 2004.
The blow was great, the shock severe
We little thought the end was near
And only, those who have lost can tell
The pain of parting without farewell.
More each day we miss him
Friends may think the wound is healed
But they little know the sorrow
That lies in our hearts concealed.
Some day, we hope to meet him
Some day we know not when.
To clasp his hand in a better land
Never to part again!
