MARSHALL--In loving memory of a life-long friend Judy, who lost her hard-fought battle on March 15, 1999.
As you were
You will always be
Treasured forever
In our memories.
--Miss you! Linda.

MARSHALL--In memory of a dear daughter and sister Judy, 1951-1999.
You tried so hard to say (sic) with us
But your fight was all in vain
God took you from your pain
You didn’t deserve what you went through
And so He gave you rest
Heavens music will be beautiful
Because now he has the best.
--Mom and Ed.

MARSHALL--In memory of a dear sister Judy, 1951-1999.
God knew she was suffering
That the hills were hard to climb
So he closed her weary eye lids
And whispered, “Peace be thine,”
Silent thoughts of times together
Hold memories that will last forever
God knows how much we miss her.
--Kelly, Peter and Smitty.

MARSHALL--In memory of Judy, 1951-1999.
“She touched the hearts of many.”
On March 15, 1999, we lost Judy, a dedicated worker and good friend. Judy began her career with LACL as a residential staff in 1987, moved into employment supports shortly afterward where she helped people find jobs and keep them. Judy always went the extra mile with the people she supported. She took the time to make sure things were going all right, and remembered everyone on their birthdays and special occasions.
Judy gave selflessly of her time in the many hours she volunteered with Special Olympics Bowling--an activity she really enjoyed. That was typical of Judy; whenever anyone was in need, she was there to help. She worked hard and willingly shared experiences of her illness to help others. She always remained practical and positive in spite of the adversity she faced.
Those of us who knew her well, miss her laughter and her love of practical jokes, in the employment office we still feel heaviness in our hearts, but Judy’s strength and love of life remain always in our memories.

MARTEL-In loving memory of Ella Martel who passed away September 22, 1978.
God saw she was getting weary,
He did what he saw best
He put his arms around her
And whispered "Come to rest"
The golden gate stood open
Two years ago to-day
With good-byes left unspoken
She gently slipped away.
Loving remembered and sadly missed by her husband Leo, Lillian, Frank and
family.

MARTEL, Tessie--In memory of our dear mother Tessie who passed away June 4, 2003
In a quiet graveyard
Not very far away
Lies a mother and a friend
We lost one year ago today
We remember her smile
And her heart of gold
She was the dearest lady
The world could ever hold
Her memory is a keepsake
For which we'll never part
God has you in his keeping
But we hold you in our hearts.
Remembered by: Darlene and Bill, Don and Ruth

MARTEL, Tessie--In loving memory of Tessie who passed away June 4, 2003.
In tears I watch you sinking
I watched you fade away,
My heart was almost broken
You fought so hard to stay,
But when I saw you sleeping
So peacefully from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
Loved and sadly missed, Donna and Frances

MARTEL--In loving memory of our dear mother "Tessie" who left us June 4, 2003.
She fought so hard to stay with us
She knew we'd miss her so
But God knew she was hurting
And said "it's time to go.
"She suffered long without complaint
Oh yes she paid her dues
She never once said "pity me
"Just smiled and saw it through.
Her pain has stopped, the hurting done
How we miss her dear sweet face
God took her hand and led her home
She's in a better place.
Three years ago she left us
With fond memories ever more
We all know she will be waiting
On the other shore.
Always loved and remembered by Darlene and Bill, Norma and Allan, Don and Ruth.

MARTEL--In loving memory of our dear mother (Tessie) who passed away June 4, 2003.
There will always be a heartache
And often a silent tear.
But always the precious memories
Of days when you were here.
We hold you close to our hearts
And there you will remain.
To walk with us through our lives,
Until we meet again.
Lovingly remembered always, Darlene and Bill, Don and Ruth, Alan and Norma.

MARTEL--In loving memory of our dear mother Tessie who passed away June 4, 2003.
A million times we've needed you
A million times we've cried
If love could have saved you
You never would have died.
Things we feel most deeply
Are the hardest things to say
My dearest one, we loved you
In a very special way.
If we could have one lifetime wish
One dream that could come true
We'd pray to God with all our hearts
For yesterday and you.
Lovingly remembered by Darlene and Bill, Norma and Allan, Don and Ruth.

MARTELL--In loving memory of Tessie.
Mom: You can only have one Mother,
Loving, kind and true
No other friend in all the world
For all her love and kindness
She asked nothing in return
If all the world deserted us
To our Mother we could turn
For those of you who have a Mother
Treasure her with care
For you will never know her value
Til you see she is not there
To hear her voice to see her smile
To sit and talk with her a while
To be together in the same old way
Would be our dearest wish today.
Loved and sadly missed, Frances and Donna.

MARTELL--In loving memory of our dear Mother who passed away June 4, 2003.
In a quiet country graveyard
Where gentle breezes blow
Lies the one we love so dearly
Whom we lost two years ago.
Her resting place we visit
And put flowers there with care
But no one knows the sorrow
As we turn and leave her there.
If our tears could build a stairway
And heartaches make a lane
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring her home again
If we had the world to give
We'd give it, yes and more
To hear her voice and see her smile
And greet her at the door.
We think of you in silence
And often speak your name
And cherish our beautiful memories
To help us ease the pain.
Sadly missed and loved by Darlene and Bill, Norma and Allan, and Don and Ruth.

MARTELL--In memory of our dear mother Tessie, who passed away June 4, 2003.
A special smile, a special face and in our heart, a special place.
No words we speak can ever say how much we miss you every day.
To hear your voice and see your smile, to sit and talk with you awhile,
To be together in the same old way, would be our dearest wish today.
Put your arms around her God, treat her with special care,
Make up for all she suffered here, and all that seems unfair.
Loved and sadly missed, Frances and Donna.

In Memoriam
MARTINEAU-In loving memory of sister, Kate, who died in Toronto General Hospital, Jan. 1, 1929.
It is near three months since that sad day
When our dear Kate was called away.
No one knows how much we miss her,
No one knows the grief and pain,
We have suffered since we lost her,
Life will never be the same.
God called her home, it was his will,
But in our hearts she liveth still;
The day will come when we grieve no more,
We will meet you dear Kate on that Golden Shore.
Mrs. James Bryan, Barrie Island.
The Recorder, Gore Bay, March 28, 1929
MARYCH, EDWARD--In loving memory of Edward Marych who passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at the Manitoulin Health Centre, age 66 years.
Fondly known on the Manitoulin as "Eddie the Pilot"
He was a bush pilot here in the north in his early years
And then flew for Air Canada for 28 years.
Retiring to enjoy the family cottage in Sheguiandah,
Planning to make it home, thus moving from Holland Landing.
This month comes with sad regret,
It brings back a day we will not forget.
You left us all without a goodbye,
But memories of you will never die.
Though tears in our eyes do not glisten
And our face is not always sad
There's never a night or morning
But we think of the husband, father, grandfather we had.
We miss you more than anyone knows
As each day passes the emptiness grows
The tears we shed we can wipe away
But the ache in our hearts will always stay.
Lovingly remembered by Deanna, sons, daughters-in-law and grandsons.
Manitoulin Expositor, October 20, 2004
MARYCH--In loving memory of Edward Marych,
January 1937 - October 2003.
Five years have gone by, yet
This month comes with sad regret.
You left us all without a goodbye,
But memories of you will never die.
Though tears in our eyes do not glisten,
And our face is not always sad,
There's never a night or morning
But we think of the "husband-dad-pop" we had,
We miss you more than anyone knows
As each day passes the emptiness grows.
The tears we shed we can wipe away,
But the ache in our hearts will always stay.
Forever in our hearts,
Deanna and our family.

In loving memory of a dear mother and grandmother, Edna MATHESON, who passed away one year ago, September 8, 2003.
Mom, you taught us many things in life,
Always good and true.
But you never taught us how to cope
With the thought of losing you.
Of all the many gifts in life
However great or small,
To have you for a mother
Was the greatest gift of all.
-Eternally loved, admired and missed by Sylvia, Lair, Jason, Sherri and Arthur.

MATHESON-In loving memory of a dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and Matheson, who passed away September 8, 2003.
May you always walk in sunshine
And our love around you flow,
For the happiness you gave us
No one will ever know.
May the winds of love blow softly
And whisper so you can hear.
We will always love and miss you
And wish that you were here.
For all that life has given us
And all that’s left to do,
We’ll know no greater treasure
Tan the days we had with you.
--Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Rose, Ted, and family

MAURICE--In loving memory of Jason Maurice, missing on December 2, 2007, found January 9, 2008. Beloved son of Brenda Maurice.
I thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new,
I thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.
I think of you in silence
I often speak your name,
Now all I have are memories
And your picture in a frame.
Some may think you are forgotten
Though on earth you are no more,
But in my memory you are with us
As you always were before.
A million times I've thought of you
A million times I've cried,
If loving could have saved you
You would have never died.
You left me beautiful memories
Your love is still my guide,
And though I cannot see you
You are always at my side.
It broke my heart to lose you
But you did not go alone,
Part of me went with you
On the day God called you home.
Forgive me Lord, I'll always weep
For my son I loved, but could not keep.
Always in my heart now and forever,
Dearly missed by your mother, Brenda Maurice.
