MCALLISTER--In memory of my life's companion, Calvin McAllister, who went to be with the Lord December 10, 2005.
Sadly missed by Family and Grandchildren and Winnifred McAllister.
Manitoulin Expositor, December 6, 2006

MCALLISTER--In loving memory of Calvin Lloyd McAllister, December 7, 1931 - December 10, 2005.
Miss Me - But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared:
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take,
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds:
Miss me - but let me go.
Lovingly remembered by Winnifred (Pattison) McAllister, Debra McAllister and Eric Sheffield, Sharon and Robert Duncan, Terry McAllister and Sharon Field, Michael McAllister and Garry, and Alison McAllister. McALLISTER--In Memory Of Kay McAllister who passed on December 28th 2006
There was sadness when you left us
You didn't even know our names
Yet you lived your life for only us
Your goal to save us pain.
Your advice was like no other
And you taught us all compassion
"To walk a mile in someone's shoes
Before we judged their actions.
Other word of yours to ponder,
Was "Learn from others mistakes
You cannot live long enough
Them all on your own, to make
And last but not least "do not have fun
At someone else's expense
"It is hurtful and may come back to you
Or one of your loved ones instead
When we would try to help you
Now our turn to care for you
You would always say "It's not the way
It's a mother's job to do.
As you passed on to the other side
Your memories stayed behind
To help us on our life's journey
And pass your wisdom down the line
We love you and we miss you
And when our time has come
To travel to the other side
We'll meet you one by one.
Sadly missed by : Larry, Linda, Jack and Ron and spouses (Shirley Terrie and Peter).
Manitoulin Expositor, January 2, 2008

MCALLISTER--In Memory of Grandma and Grandpa
I remember many years ago
When I was just a child
We used to go to my grandparents house
And stay there for a while
With Grandma in the kitchen
Making goodies just for me
And Grandpa working in the fields
As happy as can be
Looking back now on that time
Seemed just a short while ago
I can still see their faces
For they were all aglow
All their Grandchildren were very special
Each in their own way
I'm sure I can speak for all of them
And in our hearts they'll stay.
In Loving Memory of my grandparents: Kay & Gordon McAllister. Sadly missed by Tammy Sequin and also, Anita, Tom, Darcy, Darren, Brad, Becky, Brenna, and great grandchildren Anthony, Johnny, Sarah and Aiden.

But sweet remembrance outlasts all.

MCCRACKEN- In sad but loving memory of our dear son and brother, Francis Lawrence McCracken, who departed this life August 10th, 1928.
They laid my boy in the casket
And closed his soft grey eyes,
Folded the hands so snowy
As the flower that in them lies,
With a heart that was almost broken
We gazed on that little face
Farewell on a brighter to-morrow
We shall try to meet him by God's grace.

In loving memory of Nettie MCCULLIGH, who departed this life December 16th, 1908.
This lovely bud, so young, so fair,
Called hence by early doom,
Just came to show how sweet a flower
In paradise would bloom.
E’er sin could harm, or sorrow fade,
Death came with friendly care,
The opening bud to heaven conveyed,
And bade it blossom there.
Through all pain at times she smiled
A smile of heavenly birth,
And when the angels called her home
She smiled farewell to earth.
Heaven retaineth now our treasure,
Earth the lonely casket keeps,
And the sunbeams long to linger
Where our little Nettie sleeps.

Have you ever had someone
Who meant the world to you?
One you loved so very much
And miss him like we do?
Have you ever had a heartache
Or felt some awful pain
Or shed so many tears
That drop like pouring rain?
If you've never had those feelings
We hope you never do,
For when you lose a Father/Grandfather
You lose a part of you.
So for those of you who still
Have your Father/Grandfather

And your heart will be torn apart.

MCCULLIGH--In loving memory of Roy Ernest McCulligh, August 30, 1942 - November 17, 1999.
Gone but not forgotten
A little tear falls from my eyes
I swallow hard and try not to cry
I think of you so far away
Nine years ago you were taken away
I hope and pray to hear the phone
Just to hear you say one more time
That I am loved and that you are fine.
But on life's road there is no return
A good lesson that I had to learn
To live, love and do
The very way you taught me to.
But dad please remember this
There is not a day that goes by
That I do not look at your picture hanging on my wall
And tell you how much I miss and love you so very much
Miss and loved with all my heart
Love from your daughter Catherine and grandson Aaron.

I’d like to be able to see you,
I’d like to be able to say,
That one little phrase, that everyone says
How are you today?
But since I cannot do that
I’ll picture in my mind
Your big wide smile,
Your bright brown eyes
And your answer “Oh, I’m just fine”
