O'BRIAN--In memory of a loving husband and father who passed away July
31, 1999.
Look around your garden Lord
He won't be hard to find
He has a face that's full of love
And a heart that's good and kind
Tell him that we love him
And when he turns and smiles
Put your arms around him Lord
And hold him for while
We talk about him often we think about him still
He hasn't been forgotten Lord
And never ever will.
Sadly missed by Marion, Austin, Joe and Cheryl, Don and Pat.
Manitoulin Expositor, July 28, 2004
O’BRIEN--In loving memory of Harold, who passed away July 31, 1999.
The rolling stream of life goes on,
But still the vacant chair.
Recalls the time, the voice, the smile,
Of him who once sat there.
--Missed by loving wife Marion.
Manitoulin Expositor, July 26, 2000
O'BRIEN--In loving memory of a dear husband, Harold, who passed away July 31, 1999.
Three years have passed with deep regret,
It brings back a day I will never forget
You went away without saying good-bye
But my memories of you will never die
No one knows the grief I bear
When the family meet and you're not there
The tears I shed will wipe away
But the ache in my heart will always stay
You left me so suddenly
Your thoughts unknown
But left me with memories
I am proud to own.
--Sadly missed and always remembered by wife Marion.
Manitoulin Expositor, July 31, 2002
O’CONNOR-In loving memory of our late Pastor Rev. R.S. O’Connor who departed this life Dec. 22, 1978.
I cannot say, and I will not say
That he is dead-he is just away!
With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand,
He was wandered into an unknown land,
And left us dreaming how very fair
If needs must be, since he lingers there,
And you—O you, who the wildest yearn
For the old time step and glad return,
Think of him faring on, as dear
In the love of There as the love of Here;
Think of him still as the same, I say
He is not dead—he is just away
Manitoulin Expositor, December 12, 1979

OLIVER--In memory of a dear father and grandfather, Samuel Oliver, who passed away November 1978.
He has gone across the river
To the shore of evergreen
And we long to see his dear face
But the river flows between
Someday, some time, we shall see
The face we love so well
Some day we’ll clasp his hand
And never say farewell

OLIVER--In loving memory of a dear father and grandfather, Samuel Oliver, who passed away November 3, 1978
We often think of bygone days
When we were all together
The family chain is broken now
But memories will live forever
To us, he has not gone away
Nor has he travelled far
Just entered God’s eternal home
And left the gate ajar
--Lovingly remembered by Alicia, Duke and family.
Manitoulin Expositor, November 5, 1980
OMNET--In loving memory of Bill Omnet who passed away Nov. 28, 2004.
We think of you in silence
We often speak your name.
All we have are memories and a picture in a frame.
Our hearts still ache in sadness
Our silent tears still flow
For what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.
John and Ruth.
Manitoulin Expositor, December 22, 2004
OMNET--In memory of "our Bill" William Albert Omnet, May 17, 1933 - November 28, 2004.
We little knew that morning
That God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone;
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide;
And though we cannot see you
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same;
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
The Omnet Family.
Manitoulin Expositor, November 23, 2005
OMNET--In loving memory of a friend and great musician, Bill Omnet who passed away November 28, 2004.
Always a smile
Instead of a frown
Always a hand
When one was down
Always true, thoughtful and kind
Wonderful memories he left behind.
Never forgotten, Judy and Bob Blue.
Manitoulin Expositor, November 23, 2005
OMNET--In loving memory of Bill Omnet who died November 28, 2004.
God looked round his garden
And found an empty space
He then looked upon the earth
And saw your tired face
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best.
He knew you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew you would never get well
On this earth again
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyes and whispered
Peace be thine.
It broke our hearts to lose you, Bill
But you didn't go alone
For parts of us went with you
The day God called you home
From Ruth and John Dunlop.
Manitoulin Expositor, November 30, 2005
OMNET--In loving memory of Bill Omnet who passed away Nov. 28, 2004.

OMNET--In loving memory of a dear friend, companion and anchor, who passed away November 28, 2004.
He is gone but not forgotten
And as dawns another year
In our lonely hours of thinking
Thoughts of him are always near.
Days of sadness will come over us
Many think the wound is healed
But they little know the sorrow
That lies in the heart concealed.
Always in my thoughts and prayers, friend Ruth and John.
Manitoulin Expositor, November 22, 2006

ORFORD--In memory of Delbert Orford, January 5, 1924 - January 8, 2005.

OSAWAMICK--In loving memory of my beloved adoptive father Adam, who passed away March 7, 1996.
Four years ago God called you away
Seems it was just yesterday
For me, you were always there
With love, support, understanding and care
I communicate with you periodically
To share something or seek your guidance
The wise advise you offer from a distance
Always brightens my saddest day
Thanks for leaving me such a rich legacy
Do not judge, live and let live
Love and be happy
--Your loving adopted daughter, Bella.
Manitoulin Expositor, March 8, 2000
OSAWAMICK, SAMUEL--In loving memory of Samuel Osawamick, born March 4, 1912, passed away September 13, 2003. A husband, dad, grandpa and Uncle
Sam.
Since you've been gone,
Nothing seems the same,
The colours aren't as bright,
The world's just not right.
Your passing reminds us,
We'll never forget what we've lost,
A gentle spirit, unique on its own,
A spirit that touched the world.
All those who remember you,
Will never forget the words,
The wisdom, the teachings, life lessons
You've left behind.
Your spirit will always live on,
For those who learned,
Those who understood,
Those who've passed on your knowledge.
You will live on forever,
And throughout eternity.
We miss you and will always remember. Your loving family.
Manitoulin Expositor, September 8, 2004
OSAWANIMIKI--In loving memory of Jason (Jay) who entered the Spirit World on April 16, 2007.

For those who love you dearly
Never will forget.
Lovingly remembered by Auntie, Uncle and Cousins
Manitoulin Expositor, April 16, 2008
OSAWANIMIKI--In loving memory of Patrick, July 8, 2005.
It is sad to walk the road alone,
Instead of side by side,
But to all there comes a moment,
When the ways of life divide.
You gave me years of happiness,
Then came sorrow and tears,
But you left me beautiful memories,
I will treasure through the years.
Lovingly remembered by Vicky
Manitoulin Expositor, July 5, 2006
OSAWANIMIKI--In loving memory of Patrick, July 8, 2005.
This month comes back with deep regret
It brings back a day we will never forget.
He went away without saying good-bye
But our memories of him will never die.
No one knows the grief we bear
When the family meets and he's not there.
The tears we shed will wipe away.
But the ache in our hearts will always stay.
He left us so suddenly his thoughts unknown
But he left us with memories
We are proud to own.
Lovingly remembered by daughter Ethel, Urban and Family.
Manitoulin Expositor, July 5, 2006
OSAWANIMIKI--In loving memory of Chi-Pappa Patrick, July 8, 2005.
What I would give if I could say "Hello Pappa" in the same old way
To hear your voice and see your smile
Or just to sit and chat a while.
I was not there to say goodbye
Perhaps it was just as well,
Because I lost a piece of my heart
The night you fell.
To my loving pappa,
I loved so much,
I'll never forget your gentle touch.
I mourn for you in silence
No eyes could see me weep
But only a silent tear is shed
While others are fast asleep.
Lovingly remembered by all your Grandchildren.
Manitoulin Expositor, July 5, 2006
OSAWANIMIKI--In loving memory of my husband, Patrick (Paddy), who left us on July 8, 2005.
I watched you suffer,
Heard you sigh
And all I could do
Was stand by.
But when the time came,
I suffered too.
You never deserved
What you went through.
God took your hand
We had to part.
He eased your pain
But broke my heart.
Although I smile,
And seem carefree
No one misses you
More than me.
Love Vicky.
Manitoulin Expositor, July 8, 2009
OSAWANIMIKI--In loving memory of our dad, Patrick, who left us on July 8, 2005.
He fought so hard to stay with us
He knew we'd miss him so
But God knew he was hurting
And said, "It's time to go."
He suffered long without complaint
Oh yes, he paid his dues
He never once said "pity me"
Just smiled and saw it through.
His pain has stopped, the hurting done,
How we miss his dear sweet face.
God took his hand and led him home
He's in a better place.
Four years ago he left us
With fond memories ever more
We all know he will be waiting
On the other shore.
Love Ethel, Urban, and family.
Manitoulin Expositor, July 8, 2009
-In memory of Mary Alvena Lewis Otowadjiwan, May 5, 1999 and John Takwadjiwan, January 16, 2003.
We cannot control the movement
Of time, nor can we control our
Own destiny or the destinies
Of those we love.
But we can take comfort in
Knowing that those who have
Lived in our hearts are
Never really gone.
For as long as we keep
Them with us in our hearts
And our thoughts,
They will be with us always.
For love which is timeless,
Never ceases to exist.
Within our many memories
Our parents hold a place apart.
For no one else will ever be
More cherished in our hearts.
We know one day we'll meet again,
Where troubles are no more.
And that our parents
We loved so well
Have just gone on before.
Forever loved and forever missed, Mabel and family, Nancy and family, Pam and family, Frieda and Family, Diannia and Tate.
Manitoulin Expositor, May 9, 2007

We thought of you with love today

We thought about you yesterday
And days before that, too.
We think of you in silence

And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our heart.
