WOOD --In loving memory of Charlie, February 6, 1912-November 21, 1997.
It's sad to walk the road alone
Instead of side by side
But to all there comes the moment
When the paths of life divide
You gave me years of happiness
Then sorrow came with tears
You left me beautiful memories
I will treasure all my years.
--Lovingly remembered by Irene.

REMEMBERING NORMAN WOOD
It was a fall day when I drove over from Sudbury to help Norman draw
in fire wood. I found him putting on the finishing touches to a
major repair on his trailer, a very old box off an ancient model of a
1/2 ton pick-up. By this time, both fenders had disappeared and the
sides of the box flapped. The floor of the trailer had worn through
by many loads of pit-run and firewood. (I suspect that it wasn't the
first time.) Norman had been busy replacing the floor and
re-enforcing it with angle iron and pieces of flat iron. The floor
looked pretty substantial now. The ground was littered with pieces
of iron. I asked Norman where he got all the iron. I could tell by
his look that it was a dumb question. "Where do you think?," he
replied. "My guess, you got it out of the dump." "Well then," said
Norman, "Why did you ask?." We spent the rest of the day hauling
firewood. DON
Sincerely
Don Holmes.

"Remembering Norman Wood"
Often times Norman's perceived rough outward character belied a very
sensitive inner self, especially when it came to the realm of nature and all
growing things.
Often times during the fall, I would accompany Norman to the maple bush to
cut and gather firewood. If a small sapling happened to be caught in the
falling of a tree, we would try to save that tree before sawing up the
fallen one. Before felling a tree, Norman would take the time to choose the
space for minimum damage in the falling of the tree.
In the summer of '85, Norman and his friend Roy carved out the road to our
home in Green Bay. At the entrance to the driveway, two very young Birch
trees were growing within the ditch. Both trees were dug out complete with a ball of earth and replanted in on the site for the new house. I wasn't present at the time, but was delighted with the gift of these two trees. Through the years they have both stretched out and have matured into two beautiful trees, some 50 feet in height. They too, serve
as a silent memorial to a man who treasured the earth and its growing things.

WOOD --Remembering Norman Wood. Norm was generally meticulous in the way he went about doing things. Whether it was in handling square bale of hay on the elevator or stacking in the barn, rebuilding his hay wagon, or cutting and piling fire wood in the bush, there was a right way and a wrong way. If one happened to do it wrong, one soon found out. In an earlier Remembrance, I told how Norm and Roy had built the driveway into our home and how well it has stood the traffic of these many years. The road building did not stop there. Norm took it into his head to rebuild the old road through the swale down to the lake. It had been part of the horse pasture many moons ago. With his tractor and wagon he hauled all the large flat stones to build up the sides of the road before infilling. Each flat stone was put in place, not thrown. A small culvert was set in place to allow flow of water in the swale. Then came the dumping of granular from his pit, all shovelled off the back of the wagon. Hardly finished, along came the truck from Superior loaded with concrete tiles. Without a word, Norm waved the driver to back up to the lake and over the culvert only recently installed. WOW! No problem! Ron Wood was at the other end. He unloaded the tile. That was a significant day!

WRIGHT--In loving memory of Doreen Wright, April 26, 2007.
There's a special angel in heaven
That is a part of us
It is not where we wanted her
But where God wanted her to be.
She was but just a moment like
A nighttime shooting star.
And though she is in heaven
She isn't very far.
She touched the heart of many
Like only an angel can do
We would have told we loved her more often
If the end we only knew.
So now we send this special message
To the heavens up above
Please take care of our Angel
And send her all our love.
Sadly missed and always loved
.
Tammy, BJ, Tania, Rhonda, Rodney and families.

From here to Heaven above
That keeps you very close to us
It's called a bridge of love.
As time goes on without you
And days turn into years
They hold a million memories
And a thousand silent tears.

What more is there to say
Except to wish with all ours hearts
That you were here today.
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Tammy, BJ, Rhonda, Pat, Rodney, Stacey, Tania and all the great-grandkids.

WRIGHT --In loving memory of our uncle, John F, who passed away ten years ago January 23, 1993.
When tomorrow starts without you.
We'll try to understand.
That an angel came and called your name,
And took you by the hand.
And said your place was ready.
In Heaven, far above,
And that you'd have to leave behind
All those you dearly love.
So when tomorrow starts without you.
We're not so far apart.
For everytime we think of you
You're right here in our heart.

Papa Tom
It's been one year now
Since you've been gone
Our love for you
Still lingers on
You are still with us
Yes, that's how it seems
You still bring us joy
In our thoughts and our dreams
We think of you often
Almost every day
Our love for you
Is here to stay
We like to think
We like to say
We love you more
Each and every day
Some days it's hard
Some days it's not
All of the memories
We love them a lot
Some days we laugh
Some days we cry
We feel this way
It's love, that's why
We know you're safe
Yes that is why
We like to think
As we look at the sky
We look up high
We look and smile
We know deep down inside
We will see you in a while.
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed, grandkids Rhonda and Pat and family,
Rodney and Stacey and family, Tania.

WRIGHT--In loving memory of Thomas Wright (Dad), February 22, 2005.
I thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new,
I thought about you yesterday
And the days before that too.
I think of you in silence
I often speak your name.
Now all I have is memories
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is my keepsake
With which I'll never part
God has you in his keeping
And Dad, I have you in my heart.
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Tammy and B.J. LaFleur.

WRIGHT--In loving memory of my great Papa Tom Wright, February 22, 2005.
One year ago on this day
God came to earth and took you away.
Three weeks later I was born
My birth they celebrated, your death they mourned.
You told my mommy before you died
That you'd be gone before I arrived.
But you still see me so not to cry.
I'm 11 months old now, my birthday's soon
And I know you'll be there, an angel in the room.
As I get older it may hurt me to know
That I never got to meet you
Or learn what you know.
But still I'll be happy and hold my head high
Cause now you're my guardian angel
Sending me love from the sky.
Love always, Baby Emile Heather Alvira Moore. xo

WRIGHT--In loving memory of Tom Wright who passed away February 22, 2005.
It's been two years now
That you've been gone.
But in our hearts
You still live on
We speak of you often
Almost every day
About all the things you've taught us
And your kind and thoughtful ways.
A tear will still fall for you
Every now and then
But it is mostly smiles now
Because we know that in the end
Somewhere, somehow
We'll all be together again.
Sadly missed, Tammy, BJ, Tania, Rhonda, Pat, Rodney and great grandkids.

WRIGHT--In loving memory of Tom Wright, February 22, 2005.
It seems like only yesterday
We saw your smiling face,
And we wish for just one second
We could go back to that place.
That place where we could be together
To laugh, to joke and play.
A place where we could be together
For even one more day.
This past year was a hard one,
Cause God came and took Mom (Grandma), too,
But each day we can smile, because
We know now she's back with you.
Sadly missed and always loved, Tammy, BJ, Tania, Rodney, Rhonda and families.

WRIGHT--In loving memory of Thomas M. Wright, September 17, 1930 - February 22, 2005.
A thousand words won't bring you back,
We know because we've tried.
Neither will a million tears
We know because we've cried.
Now memories are all we have
To fade the pain of four years past.
We can't believe it's been that long
Just like it was yesterday, it still seems wrong.
But we can smile because we can hear you say,
Don't cry for me we'll reunite again some day.
Lovingly remembered by Tammy, BJ, Rodney, Stacey, Rhonda, Pat, Tania and all your great-grandchildren.
