[JENNIE IRWIN]

Obituary
We are called upon this week to report the death of Mrs. David Irwin, death being due to that dreaded disease, consumption. The first symptoms were last spring, and so rapid was the progress of the disease that she passed peacefully away on Thursday night last at the home of Mr. Timothy Noakes.
Mr. Irwin who was in Killarney, received the sad news by a tug which was sent there for that purpose, and left at once in a gasoline launch for Little Current, driving from there to Gore Bay, arriving on Sunday. Upon his arrival the remains were taken to the home of the parents of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. Alf. Lowrey, in Mills, from which place the funeral took place on Monday.
The late Mrs. Irwin was 32 years of age. She was loved by all who knew here, when it became known that she could never recover from the disease which she had contracted, many were the expressions of deep regret and sympathy. The end came with terrible suddenness, and cast a gloom over the community where she was best known.
Besides a husband, a family of three small children are left to mourn her loss, the youngest a boy of three years, and the eldest a clever young lad of ten.
Much sympathy is felt for the bereaved ones in this their time of sorrow. Mr. Irwin returned this week to Killarney.
