ROSE ELLEN RABIDEAU

In loving memory of Rose Rabideau, a resident of Gordon Township, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the age of 71 years.
She was born in Perth County, daughter of the late William and Rosetta (McNeeland) Galbraith. Rose had worked at Gordon's Lodge for some time. She enjoyed knitting, particularly baby outfits, gardening, playing euchre and bingo and she loved to dance. Rose will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Many family memories will be cherished forever.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Louis Rabideau in 1992. She is survived by dear friend George Strain. Loving and loved mother of Vickie Hanna (husband Doug) of Gravenhurst; Wayne Rabideau (wife Marilyn) of Elmwood; Angela Naylor (husband Mark) of Brantford and Kevin Rabideau (wife Linda) of Edmonton. Predeceased by son Dan in 1976. Proud grandmother of Nicole, Kimberly, Michelle, Leeanna, Robbie, Alisha, Michelle, Sandy, Jenny and Andrea and one great grandchild Tristin. Dear sister of Selena Kreller (husband Sam) of Waterloo, Tillie Rabideau (husband Pete) of Waterloo and Lucinda Hubert (husband Oscar predeceased). Predeceased by sisters Mary, Eva, Annie and Jenny and brother Jack. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Rose's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Canon Bain Peever officiating. ROLLAND RACICOT

In loving memory of Rolland Racicot, who died unexpectedly home on September 4th, 2004 at 58 years.
Beloved husband of Sue Racicot and loving father of Jeremy at home. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lillian Racicot. Will be missed by his brother Oras Racicot (wife Pauline) of Oxnard, California; sister Theresa Morin (husband Harold) of British Columbia. Predeceased by his sister Annette Shulist and husband Syl. Will be remembered by his Father-in-law Nick Harbar (wife Phyllis) and brothers-in-law Dan Harbar (wife Lucy), David Harbar (friend Janet Sebalj) and sister-in-law Wendy Widdicombe (husband Bob).
Visitation is from 7 - 9 pm, Wednesday at the Island Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 11 am, Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Little Current. Cremation.
Roland was the manager for Ontario Hydro on Manitoulin Island. After retiring he opened Manitoulin Area Electric. He was a very active member of the Lions Club, Royal Canadian Legion and Fish and Game Club. He ran the Terry Fox Run for the last 6 years and was known across the Island for his sales of Haweater coins.

In loving memory of Harold Ralph who passed away September 3rd in his 72nd year at the Mindemoya Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Joan, daughter and son-in-law (Jo-Ann and John Carlisle), son and daughter-in-law (Michael and Carolyn), son Daryl, granddaughter Hannah and brother and sister-in-law (Paul and Jenn). -Clare Ramesbottom beloved wife of Mabel Somerville, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Little Current on Friday, October 12, 1973 in his 81st year. He rested at the Eagleson Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Tuesday, October 16, at 2:30 pm. Interment took place at Mountain View Cemetery.

Randall, Frederick A. (Fred) - On Monday, February 25, 1980 at C.E.E. Hospital in Petrolia, in his 79th year. Formerly of 424 West Street, Petrolia.
Beloved husband of Harriet (nee Bayer). Dear father of Mrs. Bruce (June) Maginn of Corunna, Mrs. Tom (Helen) Baird of Bright's Grove, and Ross F. and wife Janet of Corunna. Dear grandfather of Brenda and Keith Maginn, James, Eric, Cathy Randall. Dear brother of Edward of Petrolia, Bloss of Niagara Falls and Miss Gladys Randall.
He rested at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia after 2 p.m. Wednesday where a funeral service was held on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. James Phelps officiated. Cremation followed. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the St. Paul's United Church Building Fund.

RANDALL (nee Bayer) Harriet May - At CEE Hospital, Petrolia, on Sunday, November 26, 1995. Harriet May Randall, (nee Bayer), 83 years of Petrolia. Loving mother of June Maginn of Corunna; Helen Baird and her husband Thomas of Bright's Cove; and Ross Randall and his wife Janet of Petrolia. Dear Grandmother of Brenda Lassaline of Inwood, Keith Maginn and wife Charlene of Forest. Jim Randall of Waterloo, and Eric and Cathy Randall of Toronto, Youth for Understanding grandmother of Vicke Toffela. Cherished great-grandmother of Bethany, Jillian and Cheri Lassaline and step great grandmother of Pamela Krumholtz.
Predeceased by brothers Edward Bayer (1915), Jack Bayer (1956) son-in-law Bruce Maginn (1995) and great grandson Daniel Bruce Maginn (1993)
Mrs. Randall was born and raised on Manitoulin Island, lived in Onondaga for several years, before moving to Petrolia.
Funeral service was held at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home Petrolia with Rev. Blair Corcoran of St. Paul's United Church officiating
Donations may be made in Mrs. Randall's memory to the St. Paul's United Church Memorial fund, or the charity of choice.

Harry Rayner Dead
News was received in Gore Bay on Monday of the death of Harry Rayner, which occurred in the hospital at Massey on that day. We are unable to get the details, but he had been ill only a few days, and his death was not expected.
Mr. Rayner is well known in Gore Bay being proprietor of the Pacific Hotel for some time. Last spring he moved to Massey and was employed as clerk in the Clifton house there. At the time of his death he was thirty-five years of age. He was married about seven years ago to Miss Thom, of Spanish. She, with a family of three, two boys and one girl, are left to mourn his loss.

NORAH BEATICE CAROLINE RAYNER

A resident of Bayside Apartments, Gore Bay, died at the Sudbury Regional Hospital Memorial Site on Friday, May 29, 1998 at the age of 83 years. She was born in Burpee Township., daughter of the late Robert and Caroline (Gibson) Bailey. Norah had many interests, including knitting and had made a number of afghans over the last few months; she enjoyed traveling and had visited many countries like Hawaii, Jamaica and the Barbados and had many trips on bus tours; and particularly enjoyed gardening and her flowers. With all her interests and travel, the most important and greatest part of Norahs life was her family. She will always be remembered as a loving, caring and kind mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Predeceased by husband Roy Alexander Rayner on March 18, 1953. Precious and loving mother and mother-in-law of Jim and Leah Rayner of Gore Bay; Blair and Annette Rayner of Elliot Lake and Noreen and Doug Croft of Gore Bay.
Proud and loving grandmother of Diane, Rick, Barb, Terri, Karen, Marilyn, Sharon, Brenda, Patricia, Jody, Pam and Randy; and loving great grand mother of 20. Also survived by several nieces and nephew. Predeceased by brothers Billy, Jack, Art and sisters Sarah, Millie, Margaret, Florence, Pearl, Elva, Lillian and twin sister Ruby. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay on Monday from 1 to 2 pm. The funeral service w as conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel at 2 pm with Mr. Erwin Thompson and Mr. Steve Fletcher officiating. Interment in Gordon Cemetery. RICKY JAMES RAYNER

In loving memory of Ricky James Rayner, March 15, 1958 - March 29, 2007. Rick Rayner, a resident of Gore Bay, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the age of 49 years. He was born in Little Current, son of James and Leah (Lewis) Rayner. Rick had worked for many years at Charlie's Shell, then Island Ford and for the last while at B & J Tire in M'Chigeeng. He was very involved in the community with Gore Bay Minor Hockey, as coach for many years and as Gore Bay representative for Manitoulin Minor Hockey. Rick had been a member of the Fire Department since he was 18. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time at the cottage, sea-dooing. He also enjoyed spending time at the farm. He will be remembered for his love of visiting and helping people whenever he could. Rick was truly a family man. Many happy times and memories will be cherished by each and every family member. His presence will be greatly missed in the community. Dearly loved husband of Sandra (McKay) Rayner; loving and loved father of Aaron and Stacy. Loved son of Jim and Leah Rayner of Gore Bay; dear brother of Diane and Hal Ednie of Sudbury, Barb and Bob Brooks of Gore Bay, Terri and Fred Noland of Evansville, Karen and Richard Foster of Owen Sound and brother in law and sister in law Keith and Judy McKay of Sault Ste. Marie. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews Brad, Tracy, Angie, Tyler and Pam, Jamie Lee, Nathan, Andrew, Jodi and great niece Krystin and great nephew Jamison.
