Query Policies
Non-Member Queries: If, while using this site's SURNAME SEARCH feature you encounter a person or persons of interest, you have two options.
The first option is to purchase the Publication(s) in which the names were found from our Branch Publications at the prices listed which will then be mailed to you. Simply order the appropriate booklet from our Publications Coordinator
The second option is to contact our Queries Coordinator, by mail or email and he/she will do a "LOOKUP" of that name for you. This "LOOKUP SERVICE" is provided from our "BRANCH PUBLICATIONS" and "LIBRARY HOLDINGS" ONLY and includes an INDEX Search of Obituary listings from the available Sudbury Star and LeVoyageur Newspapers Index.
This Lookup Service is not to be confused with "RESEARCH". Unfortunately, we cannot do 'Research Requests'.
OUR FEES
Our fee for "LOOKUPS" is
$10.00 (includes 5 scans or photocopies) plus
$0.25 for each additional
photocopy or scanned page. Postal Orders require additional $5.00 for
Postage and Handling. Please forward your Cheque with your query stating whether you want Postal or Electronic response. Be sure to include details on the Person, Publication, and pertinent dates. Do not forget your postal and / or E-mail addresses and a contact phone number.
Results of Queries will not be provided until your cheque is received. Kindly forward your cheque to:
