The death occurred here on Sunday of Joseph Melanson a highly respected resident of this community for over 50 years. The deceased died at his late residence 60 Tierney Street in his 77th year after an illness of about 10 days. CONNERY also of Pakenham Township.

The funeral was held from St. John Chrysostom's Church on Wednesday morning at nine o'clock with internment in the R.C. Cemetery.

Obsequies were conducted at 9 a.m. by Rev. Father J.E. AUSTIN. The pallbearers were Messrs. George GUILMETTE, Thomas CHARBONNEAU, S. LEVECQUE, William ODBURN, R.J. CARDIFF and William ESSEX.

There were many floral and other tributes testifying to the high place the deceased held in the life of the community.
