- BOURKE / McCONNELL
- My gg. grandparents Ed'd BOURKE Sr. and Maria McCONNELL
were marr. Feb. 20, 1844 at St. James Anglican, Hull, PQ
"by authority of special license issued by the Dept.
of the Provincial Treasurer under the hand and seal of
the Lieutenant Governor". Is there some way I can
find out if there are records available for these special
licenses? I'm desperately trying to find out who Ed'd
BOURKE's parents were.

- DEMERS / BOURGRAUD
- According to church records and The Pembroke Bulletin of
June 20, 1938 my g. grandfather Jean-Baptiste DEMERS is
buried in the "local Roman Catholic cemetery"
in Pembroke. However, I cannot locate the graves of him
or his wife Laura BOURGRAUD who died three days earlier.
Can anyone shed a light on this problem?

- LETT / LEETE
- After many years of researching the LETT family, we have
made a connection with the LEETE family. We would like to
correspond with anyone interested in these names. We have
found some LETT family, 1830s baptism records, that were
not recorded in the Diocese where the family lived. Later
records are believed to have been lost in the 1922 fire
in the Four Courts in Dublin.
