D. J. FRASER
J. FRASER was born on his farm, East 1/2 Lot 15, Fifth Concession, Cornwall
Township, November 30th, 1854. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. I.
Fraser, and by his wife, M. A. Beatty, has three sons and six daughters.
He is a Roman Catholic and a Liberal.
His farm of 100 acres carries a stock of 13 cattle, 3 horses, 20 swine and 60
fowl and yields 500 bushels grain, 75 tons hay, 5 acres corn, 200 bushels potatoes,
200 bushels vegetables and some fruit.
Mr. Fraser has a sugar bush on his farm from which he makes about 150 gallons
syrup during a season, while Mrs. Fraser sold $186.00 worth of turkeys in one year.
Our subject has spent twenty-five years of his life on the farm and has been
a patron of the Cheese Board for twenty-one years.
