Stormont County is a historic county in the province of Ontario. The townships within the county were: Cornwall, Finch, Osnabruck and Roxborough. In 1850, Stormont County merged with Dundas and Glengarry Counties to form the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.

 EORGE R. PALMER is forty-five years of age. He is the son of George W. Palmer (deceased). He is a Canadian of Scotch descent, and is unmarried. In religion he is a Presbyterian and in politics a Unionist. His farm of 135 acres, located Lot 14, First Concession Front, Charlotten-burg Township, has a very large stock of 62 head of cattle, 7 horses, 2 swine and 50 fowl. It produces annually 750 bushels grain, 125 tons hay, 7 acres corn, including potatoes and vegetables for domestic purposes. |

| Mr. Palmer has been farming all his life, and has been a patron of the Cheese Board for twelve years. He has, during the last four years, devoted his entire attention to the raising of beef cattle for the market, and his efforts have met with marvellous success. His ambition is to raise pure-bred Durham cattle in large numbers in the near future. |
