• City of Toronto 1853 Tax Assessment Records  
  A searchable database created by OntarioRoots.com in conjunction with the Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society and with the cooperation the City of Toronto Archives.
• Second Heir and Devisee Commission Case Files Database  
  This database at the Archives of Ontario is an index to the 5184 case files that document claims made to the second Heir and Devisee Commission.
• Indexes to Upper Canada Records  
  Upper Canada Genealogy includes an online index to the Upper Canada Sundries. Also known as the correspondence of the civil secretary, they include petitions for land, requests for government jobs, military communications, requests for compensation due to war losses, lists of people wanting to settle in Upper Canada, testimonies regarding traitors in the war of 1812 and the rebellion of 1837/8, complaints about unfulfilled promises of assistance, petitions for clemency for neighbours convicted of treason and murder, and many other matters.
• Name Index to OGS Publications  
  The Ontario Genealogical Society has developed an online index to names contained in genealogy books published by the society including: "A Dictionary of Scottish Emigrants to Canada Before Confederation, Vol. 1", "Index of Some Passengers who Emigrated to Canada Between 1817 & 1849", and "Index to the Upper Canada Land Books Vol. 2 - Vol. 9".

  A list of land registry offices in Ontario, and the services they provide.
• Land Petitions at the National Archives of Canada
  Many early settlers, both military and civilian, submitted petitions to the governor in order to obtain Crown land. The petitions often provide genealogical information such as country of origin and military service.
• APOLROD (Association for the Preservation of Ontario Land Registry Office Documents)
  APOLROD was formed in response to the Fall 1996 plan to dispose of all 1868-1955 land records in Land Registry Offices in the province of Ontario, CANADA.
