Sitting on a sunny high desert plateau at the foot of the majestic Cascade Mountains, Central Oregon is one of this country's most beautiful and diverse areas. With pine forests and mountain lakes to the west, sagebrush desert and painted hills to the east, the scenic Deschutes River running through the center and more than 300 days of sunshine a year, our area is a paradise for anyone who loves the great outdoors, the changing seasons, and an active and busy community. The membership of the Bend Chapter of the NSDAR is equally diverse. We live as far away as Silver Lake to the south, Madras to the north, Sisters to the west, and Prineville to the east. The majority of our members live in the Bend area. We range in age from 20 to 102, and come from all walks of life. We come together to promote the objectives of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution which are Historic Preservation, Patriotic Endeavor and Promotion of Education. We also enjoy good friendships, common interests, and sharing our wisdom!
