How to Join Our Chapter
Any woman who is at least eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible for membership in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Admission to our chapter's membership is by an invitation from Bend Chapter NSDAR.
Documentation must be provided for each statement of birth, marriage, and death in your lineage to your patriot ancestor. This shall include the applicant's birth certificate naming her parents. This documentation can take many forms, such as census records, certificates, town records, or church records.
NSDAR accepts service of an ancestor, with some exceptions, for the period between April 19, 1775 (The Battle of Lexington) and November 26, 1783 (The withdrawal of British Troops from New York).
