The Emerick Cemetery is located on private land one mile west of the intersection of airport and Peterson Roads and on the south side of Airport Road. It is not visible from the road.
In 1861, Andrew EMERICK obtained title to the former Clement BARKER donation land claim in this location. Andrew died in 1863, and his was possibly the first burial here. There are 16 marked graves in the cemetery, most of which are EMERICK and allied families. The land was sold outside the family in 1871; however, the EMERICK family continued to use the site for burials until at least 1911.
