The information in this database was extracted from printed copies of microfilmed original Benton County Marriage Certificates and/or Marriage Licenses. Every effort was made to show the names and dates exactly as they were written, even if the names were misspelled. These marriage records were recorded in Benton county but the recorded document might have been a license or affidavit. In some cases the marriage was performed in another county and is indicated on the marriage certificate. Names in brackets indicate that the information came from a source other than the original document. If another surname is shown in brackets, it will indicate a corrected spelling, or a maiden name or previous married name. Hint: If you find a bride surname in brackets, as part of a marriage record, try a search for the bracketed name and possibly find another marriage record.
