The Birth of American Freedom 1776

History Have you ever seen a memorial to those who fought for our freedom in the late 1700's? There are very few of them in existence. The Lewis and Clark Sons of the American Revolution determined to change that by deciding to build one locally. In Beaverton, Oregon there is a War Memorial Park. SAR obtained permission and a site to build there. At present the plans are complete and they are in the fund raising stage of the project.
Our Project To help raise funds for one of the viewing benches at the American Revolutionary Memorial. Pins have been designed that say "Birth of Freedom 1776". These will be for sale at meetings throughout the year, including those of the D.A.R. and S.A.R for $10 each. Help us get a whole bench!
Donations may also be given as a personal or chapter donation of any amount. Donations will be recognized in the Oregon State Society newsletter with your name, chapter or organization as a "Friend of the President's Project."
