Looking for KUYKENDALL connection in/near Wilbur, Douglas County, OR. Two
brothers, George and John, settled in Wilbur about 1852. I believe that
George's son, George Benson KUYKENDALL, went to the Umpqua Academy in Wilbur
around 1865.

We are totally stumped. Simeon C. CRAMER (aka S.C. CRAMER) married Martha
CORNUTT in Canyonville, Douglas County, Oregon, at the home of her mother,
Mary Delp(h) CORNUTT on 25 April 1875. We have lots of information on the
CORNUTT family, but we can not find Simeon. Several records indicate he
was born in Ohio about 1848, but nothing tells us where or who his parents
were. Does anybody have any information on this Simeon? When did he come
to Douglas County? He served one month as the postmaster in Riddle in 1876,
and bought and sold a lot of land around Roseburg, but moved to Umatilla,
and then Washington Territory in 1880. Neither his marriage license, nor
his death certificate tell where in Ohio he was born, or who his parents
were. Simeon and Martha's children were Ivy, Orris, and Cheney (Charles)
CRAMER. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. (We are also researching
Martha's grandparent's David CORNETT and Mary COOPER and would welcome
discussion with others.) Thanks, Leslie.
